samopop - How did you get the Bear Bow and Kiresh Mibow to craft correctly? All I still get are FIX ME bows.

madanbad - I'm not sure where I got the striker curved bow. I have now finished the game . . . so it must have been some chest in the last few maps.

If I use a +x magical damage or +x elemental damage item during crafting, will this be interpreted as one ability or as 4 or 5?

If I use a +x magical damage or +x elemental damage item during crafting, will this be interpreted as one ability or as 4 or 5? I would guess it would match any damage the crafted item has. For instance, if you use the Magical Dmg 2 amulet and you have options that give 14 lightning and 10 holy, 16 holy only, and 18 fire only, I would guess that the scoring would give you 2/14 + 2/10 for the first one, 2/16 for the holy only, and 2/18 for the fire option. That's just a guess but it makes sense intuitively. You would have to go back to Riven Field or something and test it on something you already know all three results where one of the results has two different types of damage and at least one of the others only has one. I know I told Enigma on discord that that piece of gear would work for the lightning damage he needed to craft the beginning staff. He didn't have any lightning gear so he couldn't craft it and make sure he got the lightning damage result but I told him those boots?amulet? would work. And they did.

I'll give some of my results soon. But I have a hard time understanding how it works... For exemple, in the first episodes, crafting armors with dodge, stealth and parry gave me good results in term of dodge, stealth and parry... But I crafted new armors for my team with the parry/dodge +5/5 trinkets and got nothing related (except of minor buff on the heavy armor evasion). The results are great, but didn't match the build I was hoping for to make my front line more "intouchable". Does the used trinket change something ? Like cloaks and boots don't give the same kind of advantages ? And does the place we craft changes the result as well ? Like in Granthorn I heard about an awesome smith that went traveling (I guess the guy is the one who can use the special hammer I found in Vurnak's chest)
I couldn't find anything on this tips and techniques area related to it. If that's random, well I'll be fine by it, if not I'd like not to waste my bloodstones (even if they seem to appear again in some areas along with monsters). But as I read dagger's last comment, it seems there is a logic to it. I want to know if I can sell useless trinkets or if they can be of any use. Intuitively cheap trinkets "should" give less advantages, so I tend to use the expensive ones to craft, even though they are pretty good to improve characters' fighting stats (if it's random, I'd use cheap ones instead of expensive ones).
I'll update my comment with my last results as I remember what I've been using.

There are three potential crafting results per item type, and you will get the result with the attributes which are closest to the ones you had on the trinket you used for crafting. If there multiple results are eligible, one of these is randomly chosen. So, if you use a parry/dodge trinket and none of the possible results has dodge or parry, one of the three is randomly chosen. If you use a dodge/+damage trinket and one possible result has dodge while another has +damage, it is important how the numbers line up. You will get the result with the quotient of trinket value/result value being closest to 1. If multiple attributes of the trinket and result match, quotients are summed up and compared.
There is a long pist of possible results in the starting post of this thread, so you can calculate which item/trinket combination will yield which result.

Fair enough, thanks a lot for the informations. I was wondering how to get items from the first post without knowing which trinket associate. Probably it is already written, I was just unable to catch it as English is not my mother tongue. The reply being specific, it's easier to concentrate on infos. So, It'll make the next run much more easy to make my character building. And here are my results from episode 3 at the Braeys entrance of the City of Ember : 2 are already written And the one Vraes got is this one : Bone Plate and Chain100 Armor -4 Evasion 340HP 60SP 40% Crit Dmg 5% SP Drain which is almost the same as the Bone Plate Chain you have listed on Episode 4. Now, I can focus on trying to find one of the good swords for Vraes and maces for Fyona. Funny how I don't find any staves results =^-^= Thank you again !
I'll update if I find other results. Maybe I'll do some staves if I have enough materials. And it seems there's lacking two Keen Great Bow and some blades.
