I recently bought a new phone(android) and finally gave up on transferring save games after spending quite a few hours. 

I wish to start a new game again, but see that the extra characers I bought is not available on the new phone. It seems I need to re-purchase them. Now restarting a game which I already spent 20+ hours on is one thing, but spending hard-earned cash again, may be the last straw for just finding another game. Do you have any idea what may be wrong? And please don't tell me to use Helium, because that is just not possible.

czartchonn - Any purchase is a lifetime purchase for the same Google account. you must make sure you have the same app installed (if bought them in Elite, make sure you've got Elite installed). Then, try the Restore button at the top right of the screen. If that doesn't work, start purchasing one of them. Before it gets to payment, Google Play will wake up and grant you all your purchases.

Sorry that Helium is not working for you. As you mentioned it, I assumed that you looked at our walk through on transferring games. If there is anything we can do to help in that area, please let us know.

Thanks - worked like a charm.

The problem with Helium is getting it to work. I cannot connect to it - and have tried a shit-ton of stuff to get it to work. And now it just seems like a waste of time. I will end up using as much time finding a solution than just playing the same again
