Hey, I have a silly Slack based game that I built during some off-time for my company. It uses content from a few sources for inspiration for the "Classes" my fellow employees can change into. One of these is ST:F Job titles and a few talent names. I chose it so I could continually plug for ST:F sales. However, the game is becoming popular enough within my company that we're thinking of making it Open Source on Github. To do so, I'll either need to retheme everything including ST:F content, or somehow have a licensed permission to use it for this purpose and then have the end license be slightly less open source than it would've been.
Any chance you're interested in figuring out the legal details here so your IP doesn't become public domain AND I don't get sued AND I don't have to re-theme your classes in a weird attempt to boost your sales?

Nice. What uh, license information do I put in the LICENSE file then? I guess it could be closed source license, even if publicly available (closed source as in we don't include a LICENSE file) and we could link to your forum post for any details there. (And pitch for your games if possible.)

drspendlove - it is your game, so please distribute it under whatever license you would like. We would however like an attribution in the credits or readme stating that some character types and abilities (or list them explicitly if you would like) are inspired by Trese Brothers Star Traders: Frontiers.

If any of it goes public, I would definitely give attribution and then some!
