Cory Trese , fallen I Started a New Template Priority A) Contacts = 8 Faen & Arbiter early storyline Is there a way of generating starting contacts that aren't from the same faction as Princess Aatean? Out of 8 starting contacts, 3 are enemies in the Faen story line. By the time I'm finished with the Arbiter these contacts will not be much use. If feels like I selected, Priority A) Contacts, to get 8 of them. But really only get 5 I can use. (image after 2 stops in Arbiter story, and already cannot buy an edict)

Depends on your playstyle and approach I guess. Some people have said these Contacts are extremely useful and live/die by them.
Different styles require different things. I can see both sides of the story.

I can see both sides of the story. Okey Dokey, You've always led in the right direction, while preserving the sense of wonder, and suspense. I've learned thoroughly from HoS just how right your decisions are. I'm back on the bridge, exploring the infinite field of stars. Thanks

I think some people are using those Contacts, when they get them, to remain neutral with Char's camp. I really can see both sides but I'm not sure how to fix.

It also isn't a guarantee. That's the proc gen working for you. If you recreate another game, even on the same map, you're going to get a different setup.

and maybe that is one way to think about it -- if you are lucky enough to draw Char's friends, consider a playthrough where you Patrol and do missions, while working both sides for fun and profit.
