I'm a little surprised at how good this game is given how dated it is today. However, I wanted to thank those on Discord that encouraged me to give it a shot despite having played a lot of TBF, ST:F, ST:4x, and HoS already.

I'm flattered. I get a lot of cringe looking at it, but I'm glad you're able to see past the hideousness of the graphics and the limitations of the design and find fun in it.

drspendlove - glad you don't feel the need to lie on our account  Glad we convinced you to check the game out. I think the secret sauce of TB Games has always been that we have made mechanically rich and satisfying games (if you like the more complex / challenging side of things) even if the graphics are cringe worthy (but getting better).

Cory Trese fallen, please don't insult yourselves and call your previous games 'cringe worthy' If not for those awesome games, many of us wouldn't be here and you would not have had the chance to grow as programmers and artists. For those of us that have been here so long, we are glad to have shared the journey with you and look back at the past with fondness while we also dream about the future. I would gladly take ST, CK, and TA over some modern graphic game if that's all I could have. My only wish is that I could have joined you sooner and been able to help more. It's been a fun ride so far and I can't wait to see what's around the corner.

Obviously I share that love -- TBF is as much an homage to TA as anything. While our newer games have more polish they're all still our games. Games like TA earned us the fans that made games like TBF possible. Thank you for the support and encouragement through the years. |
