I think I have the newest version. I never skip an update (I play on Android). I don't have my tablet with me, but it's 4 something.
Pardon my anger, the game is fantastic in general
After all, I managed to reach Brays after all 
Sometimes it seemed to me, that the issue might be with how the game calculates accuracy in general. After a devastating string of misses (a couple of rounds) when Tamilin finally hit, she usually had a string of hits.
Also, the issue may not only be with armor, but with resistance in genral, as my spells (all of them: banishment, AOE, firebolt) would also miss.
