This one has been dogging Heroes for a while now ... in the last update, we rebuilt the monster set from scratch.
I've tested it with a number of groups and am happy with it, but I'd love to hear any comments from the player base?
Making big progress on Heroes this morning and was just thinking about this.
Turns out, there will be a small story bump release before the end-game one.

Hi, longtime player here, first time poster. I got thru the old content a year or so ago. I changed phones earlier this year and have been making my way thru again with the same party, this time on Brutal. I'm back at ep4.
My party is Vraes, Ol Shifty Eyes/KJ, Fyona, and Selen. My team strat is defense, AoE, crit and debuffed focused. Prefight Vraes uses Phalanx Shield and Berserk Rage, Fyona raises the Shield of Cortias, and Selen does Quicksilver. I get 90-100 melee defense dice on all 3 this way.
Opening rounds KJ chokes em with Ash 10 and Selen pins em with Pinning Shot 5. KJ follows up with Immolation 10 if needed, Selen with Punishing Blades if needed.
Vraes chops at fools with Crushing Blow 8 and 1ap light blades while raging, fishing for big crits. His gear is accuracy focused. Fyona bashes with Zealous 10 then blasts with Retribution 2. Selen liberally sprays down with PS5 as she is sp self sufficient with it. Selen will melee and KJ will Fireball 1 if threat level is low. Team accuracy ranges from 50 to 65 depending on gear.
Of all ep 4 mobs, I cringe a bit at the Orcin. I have a rough time hitting them, especially the uber shamans. I have to ash and pin and use my best moves to even have a chance to hit them. However, only their ranged units can hit me at all, and I have eyes 4 on Selen to find snipers, so I haven't died to them. I don't think they are overpowered, but I kinda dread what they will scale up to later. But thats one reason why I respeced Fyona to Strickening 10 this morning, for the -7 Dodge, and I'm finally bringing Pinning Shot over 5 as well.
I got no complaints. I do think its a little odd that orcs are what I have trouble hitting, but they are a seasoned professional army that has a long history in destroying human civilization at the behest of dark gods, after all. It's fitting they are the toughest mobs.
Your games are the best on mobile by a long shot and you guys should be household names for phone gamers.

gareth How many accuracy dice do you have with melee and ranged attacks (strong and normal)? Are you wearing any accuracy items? What percentage would you estimate you are hitting? What level are the orcs you are fighting? What are your total numbers of parry and dodge cursing? Your group may be over cursing some stats, maybe you would have more success putting an accuracy item on each of your characters? That is the one of the primary reasons why I like Kincaid over Vraes, he has an AoE accuracy buff (+9 acc) which is the equivalent to a strong episode 4 item.

It doesn't matter cuz I am still crushing them. Ubershamans around lvl 49 seem to have a 50% dodge chance vs Vraes swinging at them around 60~ accuracy and debuffed by Ash 10 and Pin 5, but it doesn't matter cuz half of Vraes' landed attacks crit for 300-600 and they cannot kill anyone but KJ who is always safe because he is parked in a dark corner giving them a shifty stare while any one of the rest of the team is in their face laughing at their attacks and kicking them in the pants. Again, no complaints

And Kincaid is a little man who wears a shirt. Ain't got time for that
Edit: Oh and again, it's on Brutal. Honestly it's a good thing -somebody- can slow down Vraes a little bit from gobbling up everybody on the battlefield in one go

gareth - thanks for teh post, very helpful. Youre playing on Google Play on version 4.5.15 as shown on the main menu? All the Orcin were rebuilt in that release, so just want to make sure we're talking about the new stats It does sound better than it was before.

Yeah I'm on Android and its the latest update. Warlords, shield guys, and berserkers also can be a little hard to hit though not as much as ubershamans. I think it's about right honestly
Edit: They -are- more defensive than any other mob type I've fought in ep 4, which is strange if one is looking at their "lumbering savages" archetype, but I think it's appropriate because if I'm reading the lore right these big green dudes earned their spurs by near obliterating humankind in open war and I think that would indeed teach even a big dumb green dude a thing or two more about blocking a sword than, say, a weird spider or zany cultist

Yeah, they are a warlike race that has achieved victory over humanity in the last 70 years. They're meant to be tough, hard hitters, and heavier on the armor. They aren't easy to hit, but they aren't dodge monsters. I will look at Ubershamans specifically

Another thing to note is that gareth seems to have a pretty low level group. Level 49 for mobs means he is 44 or 45 right? Usually at the start of episode 4 I am level 47ish and by the time I fight Orcin I am level 52. That makes the orcs about 8 levels lower than they would be in a maxed out game.

That's about right. I just hit lvl 45. I guess I missed some respawns in ep 2 or 3, I've cleared all side missions, at least to my knowledge.
I'll post numbers next time I run into orcin, posting after being a silent fan so long is fun. Templar Battleforce also kicks ass!

I'm currently in episode 4 and I have to say I'm angry at the balance.
It's not that they're difficult - they're not. They're boring and infuriatingly slow because of some absurd accuracy issues. After a tense and dynamic battles in the undead city, the game comes to a screeching halt. Battles with orcin made me almost uninstall the game. But I invested so much time in it that it kinda stays there (for now).
My heroes are LVL 44. Outlander has maxed HP / Armor and Accuracy. Tamilin Accuracy / Crit. Outlander is a tank, with the rest of the team being damage dealers.
Fights with the undead and the weaver were tense, with lots of damage dealth, decisions to be made regarding summoners etc. This were going nice! My usual battle with orcin is as follows:
Orcin (all of them): miss My entire team: miss
x 10
Orcin: 40 Tamilin: 50
x 10
Orcin: 150 Tamilin: crit
Relatively short maps dragged for a f*** hour and going from Ember battlefield to Brays was a pain that lasted an hour. It was absurd. Who had the idea to increase their armor so high? And give them low Acc? Even Tamilin with maxed bows, bow ACC + 9, high crit all buffs has 30% hit rate.
It kinda makes sense that the orcin are armored etc., but someone tried to hard.

Can you post the game version from the main menu?
