Does the story change for paid-for heroes?

I wonder, do the paid for heroes (Selen, Vincent etc.) have diffirent narrative, dialogue, story elements than four basic heroes? Do some situation play out differently? Say - a magic user on a certain bridge in Ep1, or a relation between the warrior and the bad orcin?

g there are some elements of the story that are different. There are lots of dialog variations for the different characters and the scene on the bridge is animated differently, Vincent says different things.

Later in the story as things develop, there are more significant differences with the characters and their relations to the major NPCs.

The core story is identical though. As far as I can see it, none of the big story choices is impacted by the choice of character, though I might be corrected on that.

That said, the different gameplay options alone are reason enough to buy in.
