From the wiki (n.b. I wrote this wiki page)
Full Auto
Ranged group-attack with a heavy heat cost. Ends movement when used. Hits a cone shape until rank 5 at which it hits an expanded cone shape. Low accuracy bonuses and a heavy 15 Heat per shot makes this a very niche talent for exact formations of enemies. Deals considerable damage, especially at higher ranks.
It seems like you'd never really want to invest in this talent and you'd only want to use it if you were at lower levels where rank 1 had enough accuracy and you had four foes in the exact position needed for this talent. Otherwise it is overshadowed by just about every offensive talent Neptunes have. Maybe I'm wrong: How is this talent best used? When would I want to invest in it? Does it need a buff?

"exactly formation of enemies" seems a really odd way to describe its capabilities.
How to use it? Default Neptune slaughter attack?

It seems to be overshadowed by Deadly Burst unless you need to hit the 4 target formation instead of the 3 shaped V of Deadly Burst.

To each their own I guess The AoE template is significantly larger. Just depends on how you're using Neptunes and what your crowds look like.

Yeah, I wanted to hear from players on the strategies that rely on the larger AoE hitting.

Sorry I couldn't get here sooner. Full Auto is a good talent for low level Neptunes until you get to the point you can put good points into Suppressing Fire. Once I get SF to a max level, I then put other points back into FA. It's still a good talent to use as a backup then. I'm not sure if you were playing the game back when there was yet again another Neptune vs Hydra fight here on the forum, but Neptunes were the bomb! In fact it was proven they had so much power they got a nerfing big time.
As far as heat management goes, they have a good talent for that and there's good armor and equipment upgrades that help. A few points in Full Vent and the right gear setup makes them a good choice for battle even at higher difficulty levels.
Besides heat, the main thing to keep in mind is the fact that they can't move after firing. If you move before you attack, this is not a problem. You need to plan ahead with Neptunes. Pairing them with a Soldier that has some points in Rallying Charge, tends to offset any negative effects of movement point loss. Use the power of the Neptunes SF to deal heavy damage to the enemy and use the Soldiers Over Watch to pick them off as they come forward.
I hope I've explained this ok enough to help out. Good luck.

I like to have my Overwatch Neptunes use it as a back up, they don't specialize with it but it can be pretty useful for just curb stomping a bunch of Xenos so they can't overwhelm your dudes

Hmm, seems like I was overly worried about heat with my neptunes, and dismissing the damage and AoE advantage readily available via this talent.
