Ahh, the xenos are able to reach diagionally, and a templar cant? For game mechanics, I totally understand. Then came the idea. Some kind of specialist with a lightningish, clawish sort of weapon, able to reach the whole whopping yard to the next diagonal square, or even able to use a special slashing ability to hit multiple spaces. No ranged weapons, just gory glory.

I liked slayernz's diagram I would really like a wider field of fire like this, but I can live without diagonal movement. It is a square-based game, moving in straight lines better than having to do trigonometery to hypotanuse around. Sidestepping would be nice tho (I know the answer already, I'm just saying is all...)
