Why upgrade to Elite and lose game history?

Hi,

This is both a app bug and 'marketing/sales' bug...

Bit disappointed. Was playing the free version for a while. Thought it was worth upgrading and paying to support the developers. 

However just refunded as pointless to have to start again. Elite is just a whole new file, rather than an actual upgrade. So not sure what the point of that is.

I see the Android store page says you can copy captains, but I looked at every option before refunding and saw no way to do that. But it shouldn't even be the need to copy. When upgrading, this should just be a part of it. Why make users who have enough faith to pay, jump through hoops?

While I'm here, is Frontiers a better option at this point? If I need to start again, might as well be a new, potentially better game.

mikejd - There is a copy captains button in the Elite version. You must have the free version installed so that it can copy.

Star Traders RPG is 8 years old. Star Traders Frontiers was released on Wednesday. It is probably worth a look if you like the original.

In the Elite version, click "Roster" then click "Copy From Free"

Sorry you had trouble finding it, that's just bad luck I guess.
