First of all, love the game, was a big fan of shadowrun back in the day. I found CK a little difficult at first.. sometimes after dying couldn't leave that block before dying again. Until you get some advanced weapons, armor, etc. it's kinda tough. So I cheated. don't wanna give away too much.. cheating can often spoil a game for those who can't appreciate the challenge of playing straight. However, I will say that if you're on a rooted device, have root browser and an SQLite file browser, and pay attention to permissions, it's not too hard to cheat a little Be warned though - only cheat a little or else it's no fun. Can't wait for the future developments, especially the hacking/virtual combat portion of the game

look out tho a lot of what you are doing probably have greater significance to your overall game integrity than you expect.
thanks for posting this it will help me understand any balance or crash reports you post.

skitzoid - as a suggestion, the first thing your CK should go after is a new suit of armor... shoot in the 600-800 range. Then go and buy yourself a Heavy pistol, $450. Until you get there, try to avoid encounters and run safe jobs. Once you have that gear, you are pretty capable of handling a lot of the trouble available in the gang areas. Then head off to get Chipped Skills, some eye implants, and Dermal plating--or just update your guns and armor again. You definitely start weak, but you can quickly toughen up with a few thousand credits.

yeah and i'm just saying that we can and will adjust the entire equipment catalog sometimes and your changes may or may not be something we support, depending on how you are updating the indexes and so on

skitzoid - yes, be warned. Any game involving cheating is likely to eventually be corrupted, crash, or generally destroyed. In that case, will not support helping you restore the game. We suggest training your CK skills vs. your SQL skills.

Skitzoid: I have a different approach. By yourself a Taser -- try Back Bay Importers in Old Kenmore. When you can afford it, buy the Mk251 Bounty Rifle (same store). The taser is for stunning opponents that get close to you. The rifle is for shooting them dead before they get close to you. It is extremely accurate, and you will need an accurate weapon until you get a lot better at shooting things.
Good luck! and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately I have discovered that if you are reduced to 0 hp or mp or below, you can force close the game and and when you restart it you will have 0 or negative health, but still safely heal our move to a hotel to heall up and recover. Didn't want to make a form about it but this one works.

Yeah, actually I'm pretty good at the game now, playing my non-cheat character. As with most games I play, I actually enjoy the figuring out how to hack the game more than the cheating itself. Hacking it gave me insight into how the game works inside and out, and I enjoy it more now because of that.
I am fully aware that I could make the game crash (and have done that), but I expect no support for those issues. Being a bit of a programmer myself, am confident enough that I can fix things myself if they get screwy. I left out details about how to cheat specifically so others would not try it and then complain when the game doesn't work.
I was impressed that the game AI seemed to detect my boosted stats and compensate for it. Even after I hulked out my character, there was still a challenge to the game - cheers to the developers for that!
When I have some time, I'll probably play around with some hacks and see how the game reacts. I'll keep an eye out for crashes or accidental good bugs and report if i find anything interesting

@skitzkoid - thanks for keeping the details private. Thanks for all the compliments, and glad you are enjoying the game without cheating! Hope the advice on here helped.
@seryin - it is a known exploit by the dev team. We usually don't share them, even though they are on a list to be closed. Stay tuned for tightening up!
