So when i esplore anomality it often ends up with decreasing moral of my colonies. When it happenes while I’m running my colonies tightly it may be devastating on a growing colony if it has not enough hab unit or spice. Also it’s not like $50 or 10cp is useful from discovery. Only research point comes handy. What are the chances of results from searching discovery? Is it worth to pick risky search whenever possible?

I don't know what the precise odds are, but whether a risky search pays off is affected by the XP of your the ship exploring. Personally I don't risk further unless XP is at least 20.

Never knew that. Just thought it was random. You live and learn.

I don't know if it is affected by difficulty level, but I found the probability when trying for extra low enough that I usually only ever take the safe route.

Sometimes. I haven't played on any difficulty other than impossible for a long time though. Not sure if that makes a difference. Usually by the time my scout has explored 20 times the benefit of even 100 extra rp is not that big a deal.
