Question on Dice Mechanics

Hello Friends of this cool game.

I have to say, I kind of like it and currently try to play a longer campaign (If I survive). I read a lot in the wiki and it is quite understandeable. I think, I also get the difference between the different dice I have depending on Crew Sikk Pool and Ship Skill Pool. But now my question: I have my string and normal dice and roll them. And I produce a numer of successes. But what is the target number? How many successes do I need to be successful in a certain task, for instance hitting the enemy? Or evading meteorites ? Or whatever?

Can someone give me a hint on that?

The challenge / enemy always comes up with a number of strong and standard dice as well. It is dependent on the challenge, enemy, and modified by game difficulty settings, game turn, danger ratings and many other factors.
