There are two doctor talents:
Medical staff: Automatically passes a failed Doctor test in any situation, including on board healing, saving lives in accidents, or while exploring
Life saver: Saves a life during ship combat, blockade, spying, patrol or black market. Crew member is restored to HP equal to Doctor Skill + 3 x Medical Rating of onboard medical components
The second one doesn't mention scavenging, probably because it is new?
Also, it isn't immediately clear what "save a life in an accident" means. Which are accidents, do you mean failed saves during onboard events that scroll by in the log? And which are exploring? Does Medical Staff save a life during the exploration minigame, but not the other minigames? Is that just a random distribution to make the talent more useful, or is there an in-game reason? If it is "ship vs ground" then maybe black market should be moved under medical staff.
Is there any chance that if a member of a combat team has life saver available, it could be applied to a crew combat death?

Life Saver lists the situations in which is saves lives. Crew combat is not listed. Ship combat is listed. Will add Salvage.
Rewriting the Medical staff one, that is really confusing.

It doesn't need two "or": Automatically passes a failed Doctor test in any situation, including deep space travel, orbital ops, exploring or during a mission I'm sure you will make the same change to the other real life saving talents and the other doctor save talents, to keep them in sync. |

You could also sum it up as "will save a life during deep... and card mini games" unless you don't want that due to aesthetics. fallen |

Yep, want to be specific about which card games. Explorer is notably not incldued.
