I have been doing a bunch of scavenging, which gives me a bunch of stashes in different random quadrants. Here are a couple of usability changes that would help me manage the stashes better. The "waypoint" button doesn't quite work. 1. Click waypoint, look on the galaxy map, "some" route is highlighted. 2. Back in the stash menu, click a different waypoint in a different sector (different number of jumps) 3. Back in the galactic map, the *same* route is highlighted. It did not update. 4. Go to the system map, move your ship a tiny bit 5. Back in the galactic map, now the proper route is highlighted. It would be helpful to list the quadrant name, like Fifth Pass, in addition to the system name. I don't recognize any of the system names, but the quadrant name would help me to see which stashes may be near each other. This could easily go into the circled blank space. It would be helpful to remotely dump a stash. Not from scavenging, but sometimes in exploration I get some stash I'll never use, like biomass, or edible plants. If I have a bunch of stashes, it would be helpful to just discard that entry which I'll never use. Even if the stash is right there while I am exploring, if I have cargo already, it is a lot of button pushing to unload my cargo, load their cargo, dump it, load some other cargo, dump that, load my own cargo.

Thanks for the feedback! Both dumping and listing the quadrant name are on the list. Click on a resource for more detials.

This stash should keep me busy a little while. Comes from about 2 hours of continuously clicking "salvage" to chase achievements. Also, does anybody want my 8 spare level 6-7 weapons? "spare" after outfitting all my combat crew.

Should net a pretty good profit when you sell them!

While fallen still has the files open...would it be possible to get a "condense" stash button, that would just combine all the same type items in a stash together?

Like-cargo stacking is another issue and it wants to be handed without player input honestly. I'm terrified of the pattern this would create, players moving cargo out of their hold into a stash so they can go to the stashes list screen to click condense before taking it to an exchange.

If you want to condense without a button, that is even better. My screenshot above shows two bexian tea. I did not mention in the above post, but this entire stash was created for me, by lots of scavenging. There is no reason to have two bexian teas there, when the game put them both there. I do see your concern about a manual condense button. Normally, for items which are purchased, the purchase price and owning faction needs to be tracked separately for each group, and condense would lose that. For untouched stashes, condensing seems worthwhile.
While discussing about stashes, I have to say that both scavenging and explorer "remote seam" have the same problem for me. After I do a lot of these operations, I have valuable stashes scattered all over the galaxy, some of which are like 10 jumps away. It's quite a lot of "bother" to go collect them. (Note for un-valuable stashes like biomass, thank you for adding the dump button; this is about valuable ones.)
Is it possible to make remote seam less likely for exploring, and to make the stash from scavenging to be local instead of distant?
If you really want to force all this traveling all around afterwards, could you make the result a "treasure map" and the contents of the stash unknown (but highly valuable)? Then at least it would be fun to go there and see what I got.

Yes, cargo combining can only be done when they are like faction. Prices can be averaged.
No, we don't plan to change remote stashes. Certainly, just dump the things you don't want or stop by when its convenient. Traveling 10 jumps just to pick up *any* stash seems silly.

I had a scavenger captain once who spent years cleaning out stashes. It was ridiculous. She got rich enough from Scavenging and fighting alone that it wasn't really necessary to go collect stuff, but I did it anyways. I think it ended up being worth millions in scattered stashes and half the stuff was just sold at the nearest planet that would take it, regardless of demand. That is just an observation, not a complaint or a suggestion. It's just what happened and I didn't really see it as good or bad. Though, not needing to clean out stashes does seem a little anticlimatic, like I got rewards that weren't even really worth fetching. It was sort of nice to know though that I was never really far from money in case I ever got low on it. A condense button or auto-condensing would have saved me a lot of time in that game.

The goal is definitely auto-condense.
Different angles in the game that encourage travel are important.
