Hi Guys,Hi TB
Ok,got it from Benicio the job,it's to transport a locked file in Loft apartments in City Hall(BS)...I negotiatd the price,928 Nuyen are welcome,so i accepted...I'm going to City Hall(I'm near to my target location,luckly,however my lonely Gunslinger moves quickly and he also shoots more quickly),and i check my PDA for additional job details...Nothing of new...I arrive in City hall,go to apartments,and connect to a hot spot to transfer the file and...Job Failed,the data is corrupted and the transfer is not completed...NOOOOOOOOOOO
Now i ask myself:DOVE HO SBAGLIATO!?!??!?!(where's the error?!?!?!?)
Soooo I ask yourself(TB): How does the job work???Which skill is used?I made something wrong...?
And for everybody:What happened to you???

Nero went out from the loft,with a dark shadow in his face...3 squares,and a BS Response squad(or any name had it) jumped over the streets...F**k!! "OK,for now Hacking and Data stuff is enough....Let make some hole!" XD

He wasn't serious Slide, he was just wondering how many of us named our characters after the main character in the novel "Johnny Mnemonic". (which was about a data-courier)
Nero though . . . probably not who I'd name someone after. Having your own mother executed and your brother poisoned aren't exactly endearing traits to me. Though I'll grant you that he did better in rebuilding Rome following the great fire than the myths portray. (he totally didn't "fiddle" during the fire, and ,despite the whole public-relations fiasco regarding the Domus Aurea, Tacitus is pretty clear that he spent a ton of his own money helping rebuild Rome for the people. It was only later on that he started going crazy in publicly visible ways.)

{edit} On topic: I should have noted that it's a pity if the data-courier jobs are broken. I really like the idea of new jobs to run, and higher-grade courier jobs from back-room contacts is pretty sweet. Hopefully this was an oddity related to your character Nero rather than a bug to fix, but I suspect it's not (from my time in IT). {/edit}

Oh good, then it's probably not an issue with the jobs themselves but with some aspect of Nero.

Ahahahah :-) not Nerone,just Nero =) it's a sort of codename,in some ita tv series/movies ^^ however it's.an issue...gravling can u tell me how do u execute the job?

I did everything that you did, except I only have a 40 meg slot in my head and you were buying a bigger one. I took the job, went there, got shown a data port, dumped the data and got paid.
Maybe failures are random?
Trying this with a new char only made post 6.27 this evening -- I have to finish cleaning up after dinner but I will get back to it. What are your stats by the way? I was playing with a char who has 7 in everything.

I didn't notice the time limit,honestly,but 'cause the location was 1 sector far,probably i was in time^^ anyway i tried another job,and this time i've done it...i dont understand where's my error the first time xD

That makes sense. I will investigate adding a different message when the file has "timed out" instead of been corrupted.

But cory i don't know if the first time i failed the job 'cause the job was timed out...
Or are u telling that the toast was referred to job time out?
