Both of those rifles use auto rounds, yes.

Assuming you are interested in rifles at all, then If your firearms skill is low, get the mk251 Bounty. Kills drones with 1 shot, and with 5 accuracy you actually will hit what you shoot at. As your firearms skill improves, get a Hunter Sight. Once you can reliably shoot drones with this, use it instead, because it is more powerful, with a longer range, and holds more ammo. That's precisely my approach as well.

Yep,after reading grav advices in a some past thread(maybe this, maybe another,i don't remember),my current equipped weapons are Mk251,and Taser =) very devastating(especially in LosV,Blue Ox,Streets and Fennian territories, but it's a good choice also against corp factions,if u constantely move in battles)...I'm looking for Hunter sight, now,i forgot that rifle(i used that with my Sniper char, months ago XD)

Don't buy your Hunter Sight at Boston Rifles Import -- you will get a cheap imitation. Try Mars Corp Importers in Charlesbank.

grävling - the knock-off will be better tagged and a little less expensive in the next release.

So, after reading this, I think I got what speed means - which is useful to know. Essentially, speed seems to be the number of shots I'll shoot if I decide to attack with this weapon, and use my APs here. Is this a fixed number, or can it be affected by other attributes? I.e. will I always get 4 "Shoot (0)" actions with a speed 4 weapon?
Now, what does Ammo mean? Is it how much it depletes your ammo per shot? Or how many bullets it fires per shot? I'm confused.
Cheers.

Right now you will always get 4 shots off per attack with a speed 4 weapon (or blows if it is a glove). There has been talk of having this factor be modified by class (let Gunslingers be able to shoot more per attack) and having cyberware that modifies this number, but none of it has been implemented, or even promised yet.
Ammo means how many shots you can make before you have to reload your gun. So, say you have a Lightfire. Speed 2, Ammo 8 pistol. You begin your fight with 8 bullets in your chamber. You shoot at something. Bang! Bang! You get 2 shots. You missed both times, awww.... and now you have 6 bullets left in your gun. Bang! Bang! Now you have 4 left and the bad guy is still coming. Bang! (Got Him). You how have 5 bullets left, and his friend is coming for you. Bang! Bang! You have 3 left and you are a rotten shot, missed both times. Bang! Bang! You are down to one bullet and wounded him. Bang! (click). You only we able to shoot once this attack, and then you were out of bullets. Time to reload. You could have reloaded earlier -- you don't have to wait until your gun is empty before you reload it.

Thanks! That makes lots of sense.
Do I auto-reload in between battles - i.e. can I assume that I always start a battle with my chamber full?
Cheers grav.

You can assume that you will start with your chambers full, as long as your cyberloader has plenty of bullets in it. When they run out, you will find that each of your guns (assuming you are wielding 2 guns that take the same sort of ammo) will be partially loaded. Try not to let this happen to you.
