Ripcord: When fighting in a boarding combat as the pilot of a Shuttle craft, make a quick escape to your shuttle and exit combat immediately, leaving any other squad members behind.
I've never really thought of this ability up until now, but. Can you board with only wing commandos, and does your boarding talents still activate if you 'lose' the boarding action?
If this already works this way, could we have a tiny bit more clarity?

No, you don't get to use Boarding Talents if you lose.
This is simply, a self-retreat option. You don't want to die, regret your decision and want to pull the ripcord.

In that case I have a suggestion.
Can the wing commando's boarding talents slightly change to include activation even on a loss? Or maybe a new boarding ability like "Dead man's Trigger," something along those lines to give ripcord a more offensive roll when combo'd properly.

muddball - ok, we'll consider it but it seems like an anti-pattern we don't want to encourage.

muddball - ok, we'll consider it but it seems like an anti-pattern we don't want to encourage. I like spotting new creative ways of using existing skills. But in this case it really requires changing some of the mechanics to suit the idea. Still perhaps this idea will spawn a better, more suitable suggestion.

Definitely. Always worth making a suggestion. However, we don't want to create a situation in which boarding becomes about attacking-to-lose.
