The current black market doesn't look like a real black market though. Whenever you have something needed to be disposed of like xenos artifacts and illegal cargos, you go to the black market. Aside from that, you don't really need anything there. My suggestion is that we can have unique crew weapons, armors, gears, ship parts and rare trade goods that can only be found in black markets on some occasions. We can set a new rumor "Black Christmas" or some sort to notice captains whenever it happens. Black markets at different quadrant offer different goods. Oh yeah, this is also my first time posting, so if I hapoen to violate any rules here, pls go easy on me )))

chaox - lol no rules violated. Thanks for posting! The Black Market does only offer trade goods you could feasibly get elsewhere, agreed. However, All sale prices are (25%) higher -- better profits for smugglers Black Markets have less impact on supply / demand, allowing a captain to complete longer trading cycles in a single zone All "big trade" talents in the Black Market are more powerful than their legal Exchange counterparts Black Markets ignore conflicts such as Trade Bans

But still, making black markets more interesting and lifelike is better of course, it's just a suggestion, but I'd like to see a black market that is similar to those in the movies you want to dispose of illegal goods ? Want to buy some things that are not on sale in normal markets ? Want to avoid taxes ? Or just simply trying to have some window shopping ? Then go to the nearest black market Thanks for the amazing game anyway

i think it is a question of - is the extra work worth it compared to other things on the to-do list. I think BM should be more involved/ deeper...
my thoughts: 1. make it easier to enter lower levels of the BM - example - goods under TL1 should be easier to access than TL4. IRL - it is easier to get tax-free cigs than black market weapons 2. specific quests/ quests available from contacts with BM traits - something like OP is talking about with special items only available at BM, or quest where medicines are not available legally due to plague so need to use BM. smokey and the bandit quest where you need to buy BM beer and smuggle it in for a wedding 3. some how make a more interactive BM... contacts only available via BM, or something else... looking for others to add their thoughts

I think every system in the game could be more involved/deeper!
