I was a bit thrown by the seemingly contradictory morale information when I was on planet.

At the top of the screen it said I had one crewman with "unpredictably low morale", but according to spice hall box at the bottom "morale is high". When I moused over the spice hall box, it gave the standard morale is high and the crew are ready to return to the void text, and there was no way to spice the chap up to make him happy. When I checked in the crew list, I did indeed have one crewman with low morale. In the end it was explained to me that when it says "morale is high", it doesn't actually mean "morale is high" as such (which semantically speaking is the polar opposite to "low morale"), but rather than morale is as high as it can get here. As far as I am concerned, this is now clear to me now as far as the game mechanic goes, but at a purely semantic level it does seem to be a contradiction to have "unpredictably low morale" and "high morale" at the same time, and it might be worth just changing the text slightly to avoid confusing new players. However, to be honest, its the first time I've seen this in a week of playing, so its clearly not a high priority issue.
In summary: to avoid future confusion (i.e. for future new players), it might be worth changing the current spice box text from "morale is high" when there are in fact low morale people on the ship to "morale is as high as it can get here" (or if there is space to fit it in the box, perhaps something like "there are crew with unpredictably low morale, but morale cannot be increased further at this spice bar").
(Sorry it sounds nit-picky, and I wasn't going to post it, but I was encouraged to add it as a suggestion so feel free to ignore).
