Two suggestions here.
You should have to either defeat the target in crew combat or disable their ship to successfully complete a capture mission. You can currently destroy a ship in ship combat and still collect your prisoner. This would make bounty hunting slightly more difficult but make more sense. Also if targets were often chosen as crew fighters this would improve the Blood Game talent as this could allow players to defeat their target in crew combat then escape ship combat with their mission completed. Creating s new icon to indicate you were fighting a bounty target would be helpful as well as information on the encounter screen warning you to not destroy the ship.
This could also allow bounty hunter missions to have a dead or alive feature where some bounty hunting missions could give you the choice of killing or capturing. Capturing could offer more money, killing could reward a small bonus to rep (maybe? Saving a cell slot by not transporting a prisoner is a bonus in itself)

A choice we made hand in hand with the alpha team! This kind of feedback was critical during those deciding months -- don't miss the next one. We still might add these type of missions later, as higher difficulty / higher influence generation options for Contacts of a certain level to use.
