City of the Dead 2nd time

So I just entered the city of the dead for the second time, following Ravenna. And my characters say something like “we’ll have to fight our way to the center of the city”.

So does this mean I have like 5 maps to clear with like 10-15 nondescript battles each before I get to the next bit of story? I’m about 7 skeleton battles into that ruined wheel road map and I’m not looking forward to a long slog through another 50+ repetitive battles.

Just go STRAIGHT North. You don't need to slog through 50 battles. But chests and goodies lie still in the CoD

So you mean I do need to go through like 5 more maps? I have a certain compulsion to explore the whole map each time but I may skip it. So far none of the chests I’ve found have had much exciting.

Ok I just did it... only 2 maps. Much more reasonable. The fight in the undercroft was worth it.
