Hello fantastic steel community,
I’m on an iPad 2, alas I’m worried our ever evolving technology has conspired against me but I’m hoping there’s a remedy to get the app to “Update” so I can play and resolve the story arcs. I’ve been pre-Fierhold in epic anticipation alongside all of you and of course now that the finish line is in sight I am stuck.
Details: can’t figure out why the App Store “update” button for Heroes of Steel Elite won’t appear
Fingers crossed I don’t need iOS 10 or later, because my iPad 2 can’t update past 9.3.5
Normally is as easy as clicking “Update” from the AppStore and whoosh I’m off to progress through the latest developments to HoS.
If I in fact need iOS 10 for the final update of the game (App Store says iosy10 required) then it means I need a different device to finish the story on, and so I so I pray to Myshana that I can transfer the data of my hard earned labors from my iPad 2 to my iPhone.
What do you guys think/recommend?

First off, you can backup and transfer your saved games using iTunes. I'd suggest doing that right now just to have a backup (it's a long game!) This can also let you transfer to other devices.
I do see the App Store listing iOS 10 as a requirement
Let's start with an easier question -- what exactly do you see in the App Store when you look at the app? And, which app do you have installed, Elite or just RPG (free with IAP)?
