If you need to exit from combat, finish a turn and then exit the game. Auto-save handles it. If your device turns off, auto-save handles it. If you quit mid-turn, auto-save handles it.

Yes, my apologies. The issue is with my tablet probably. I plugged it in after a warning (with a proper charger) but it steel turned off after a couple of minutes. I suspect it's a loose port / plug, because this shouldn't happen (that it uses more power than being supplied). After I returned, I found out that indeed - autosave worked and I only had to beat the ego demon. Turned out the barbican was...

...a piece of cake compared to the caverns with respawning lizards. I slaughtered them all, but I had to use something I effectively believe is an exploid of AI/game mechanics. Moving step by step to not trigger any more eggs before I dispatch existing ones. It required restoring two times however.

I really like HoS and hope to play a sequel or an in-universe game (if it's in the works). Given the Trese unique hand-drawn art, I believe they would make an exvellent first-person adventure (like Eye of the Beholder). It would be great for vertical / phone play, as HoS is best on tablet imho.


So far, it's a fantastic conclusion, with the writing team remembering about all crucial characters and all. BTW, is there a way to view character portraits etc. to remind better of who is who (Android)?
