So I had this idea of what if different classes and occupations have different intro quests ?
For example, the diplomat's would be solving an issue between your starting faction and another faction while the smugglers one would be breaking a trade embargo and the merchant's would be settling a trade dispute and maybe the pirates' would be conducting a multi stage heist. Maybe the rewards could be un lockable cosmetics that could be used on all characters and crew.

Sounds awesome but not something we had scoped in for Star Traders: Frontiers. Perhaps modding someday!

I love this idea for the next game. I'd probably say the ideal setup would be Faction-specific narratives with job-specific sub-quests.
A future game, for sure!

Then making CK2 you need to think about implementing story editor first but yea, this kind editor would be excelent tool for you in all of yours sandboxes games, allowing to fast implement new stories: free or as addons for small fee
