Hi,
Am I missing something? I completed the Faction Defender achievement and it shows as unlocked. But when I go to start a new game and choose new captain I still just see Nomad, Corsair, Traveler and Tracker. No Commander. I've exited the game and reloaded etc but still no luck.
Anyone have any ideas?

The 4 starting templates are just that -- starting. You will want to customize your own to play the game in oh so many more ways  |

I suppose we could add a feature where the game generates new templates when you unlock a profession you could use?
I will investigate. For now, when you unlock a Profession, you have to make your own Templates using it.
Many players start by copying an existing Template from the 4 and then modifying the Profession selected.
Keep in mind that there are more Professions, without any unlocks, than their are default Templates!

I think a better feature would be to have a glowing animation on that button when you unlock a new specialization. Maybe it stays glowing forever, to make save state simple.

The button is in a far away place when you unlock the achievement.
But I guess we could leave a trail of glowing buttons next time you come to the new game?
I like glowing stuff.
