Many weapons and wargears offer various tradeoffs between flat damage buffs, +crit%, and +penetration%. What kind of value do people usually place on these, especially in the context of different classes and builds. The only thing I'm sure of is flat crit% for my stealthcrit sniper scouts, but I'm kinda at a loss how to value the others. I'm tending towards pen%, 'cause when I get in too deep, it's usually against something that had too much armor to kill before it made someone facetank it.
Secondarily, how much accuracy is enough?

High Pen is an important thing to watch as you are picking targets on the battlefield. If a Goliath and 3 scitterings are coming up through the hallways charging you, and you've just enough fire to tag them all -- knowing how has high enough Pen to possibly get a armor-busting hit on the Goliath makes a huge difference. Your high damage, low pen attacks may glance on their high armor, so you might point that fire at the scitterings to be sure to mop them up. Hope that helps.
