My deployement on the Moons of Nachot-ugo has begun.
For my first mission, command ordered me to clear out the xeno near the landing zone.
Since my squad and me are still rookies, we needed heavy weaponry to deal with these vile creatures.
Uran and Marcus are both heavy weapons specialists and capable of defending a hallway by themselves.
I took Rinn with me to guard the last hallway. With him firing cover fire from behind me we made short work of these xeno foes.
He still has to learn to control his suit faster though so I'm swapping him out with another soldier.

We found some unsettling Narvidian artifacts.
I took it upon me to carry these dark relics myself to the extraction point to protect my squad from temptation.
Even though I would trust them all with my life, they were still inexperienced and the call of the artifacts was strong.
Corith was put on the front of the line, he was slow but with his new weapon he should be able to handle any xeno we encounter.
Behind him me and Blaine follow, with Uran in the back to burn the path behind us.
Blaine really proved himself this mission. On multiple occasions he protected both me and Corith from a raging xeno.
Uran fell behind a lot but managed to get into the extraction pod on time.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
I had acquired intel about a xeno ambush in this sector.
To avoid it I send in my two Demonaxes, Scipio and Tullius to scout the ambush.
A bit later I recieved a transmission that they fell in the ambush and needed help so Blaine and I rushed out to them.
However it was a trap. While we were rushing towards the meeting point we were ambushed by the xenos.
I was gravely wounded and since we didn't stand a chance against the hordes of xenos pouring out from every side, we rushed towards the meeting point hoping to find help there.
To our surprise Scipio and Tullius were waiting there, they hadn't found any xeno nor send the transmission requesting backup.
There was no time to sort out the mystery though, with a horde of xenos raging on behind us.
I ordered Tullius to guard the meeting place, knowing that he didn't stand a chance against the xeno hordes and could only slow them down, while the rest of us fled.
The hallway was treacherous, but with Scipio's axe and Blaine's new gun we made good progress.
However Scipio was too slow and we had to leave him behind if I hoped to make it to the safe zone alive.
When we arrived there, Blaine didn't want to leave Scipio behind.
While I lay wounded in a corner of the safe zone, Blaine ran back to defend one of the side hallways, allowing Scipio to catch up and reach the safe zone.
Just when we were ready to leave, we picked up transmission. Tullius was still alive and coming towards the safe zone.
Blaine ignored my orders to leave and kept on holding back the xeno hordes until he spotted the familiar suit of Tullius running through the hallway.
He was wounded but had taken out every xeno that was following us.
With the help of Blaine's cover fire they both got near the safe zone.
Blaine ran inside and I used some of my healing repairs to take care of Tullius wounds.
But then, just before Tullius entered the safe zone, a large xeno ran through the hallway and killed Tullius in two big bites.
In anger and sadness Blaine unloaded his gun upon the xeno, killing it instantly.
After that the blast doors of the safe zone closed, ending this nightmare.
I need to have a stern talk with Blaine about following orders after this, but now while he is still grieving the death of Tullius, isn''t the right time.

Report:
Xenos. Xenos everywhere.
We were send in to purge a bunker infested with xenos.
However the xenos started attacking from every side before we reached the entrance of the bunker.
While we valiantly held back the xenos with fire and steel, the enemy hordes were large and plentiful.
Eventually, I reached the bunker together with Blaine. Shelnix and Uran were still holding off the xenos in the open fields.
Uran knew that the situation was hopeless. There was no chance that we all got out of there alive.
So he ordered Shelnix to run towards the bunker.
At first he didn't want to leave Uran behind alone, after getting wounded by xenos he followed me and Blaine inside.
When he was inside Uran blased down a large wall of fire to the entrance of the bunker. Keeping the xenos out but destroying his only hope of escape.
Many xenos burned to dead by his flames, until one managed to run through the flames and end Urans life.
Inside the bunker, the three of us descended deeper.
Shelnix had trouble catching up but eventually the three of us reached the meetup point.

Hold The Gates

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
After meeting up with the Chaplain it was decided that they as the more experienced squad would descend deeper to retrieve the Narvidian artifact.
We would stay here to hold back the waves of xenos.
After the unfortunate dead of Uran, I only had one heavy weapons specialist left.
Luckily I got a new gun to aid me in this battle. The Heavy Needle Gun is a strong weapon capable of taking out any approaching xeno.
I send Marcus and Rinn to defend the lower half, while Corith and me took care of the top half.
Unfortunately disaster struck again and Rinn got mortally wounded while on guard.
Luckily Marcus is an expert and managed to defend the lower hallways alone while Rinn ran towards my position.
With the help of my healing repairs I managed to get him stable again. And with his help we held back the hordes.

Since Uran unfortunately passed away, Scipio took his position after proving himself in the xeno ambush.
The extraction went surprisingly calm.

After our previous succes on the moons of Nachot-ugo we were send in on a different kind of mission.
A large group of traitors had taken control of a stardock and used it to supply their smuggler fleet.
Since range wouldn't be our ally this time, I took a group of experienced gunmen with me.
Shelnix and Corith aided me in disabling the stardock while Marcus went out on his own to shoot down enemy backup.
Despite the large group of enemies, we all managed to return to the extraction point victorious.

Report:
I'm alive.
Somehow, despite all odds, I survived.
It started normally, just a standard sweep of the area to clear a path through the xenos.
But when we entered the heart of the xeno plague, the true horror of the situation showed itself.
Endless hordes of xenos poured from all sides, halting our progress and pinning us in the open hallway.
With no way forward, ammo started to run out.
Scipio proved himself invaluable as the only other squadmember that could fight without ammo.
Corith fell first. He was guarding the back, but without ammo he got overrun by xenos.
Afterwards Scipio fell. I kept him up for a while with my healing repairs but once those ran out he couldn't keep going.
I managed to get near the goal with Rinn behind me.
But then more hordes flowed through from the front so I had to focus against them.
Rinn couldn't hold back the hordes attacking our back for long alone.
By a miracle I managed to hack a way through the final foes, finally reaching the goal and ending this nightmare.
I lost a lot of great men today. They were heroes.

Report:

After disabling the stardock, command has ordered to clear out the ships stationed here.
The first ship found out here is the Oblivion Cruiser.
After first dispatching of the initial ambush we split up to take out the ship.
Marcus went alone to disable the ships weapon system while Shelnix, Blaine and me disabled the Engines and Solar sails.
Both groups got quickly jumped on by a group of heavily armored guards.
With the three of us working together we managed to dispatch of the enemy guards, but I got wounded in the process.
Meanwhile Marcus not only easily defeated the defenders but created a protected zone which we used to retreat to safety.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
The last ship in the stardock was an abandoned Tiberia Lifter.
However as soon as we entered the ship, the engines started roaring to life again.
We had to quickly disable them if we wanted to have any hope of surviving this.
Marcus went to disable the left engine, while Shelnix and Blaine went to disable the bottom one.
I stayed in the middle on guard for xeno attacker.
However one xeno managed to jump on me and managed to wound me.
Marcus and Shelnix made a protective defense around me while Blaine went out to disable the last engine.
Shelnix started having trouble with xenos pouring out from the the bottom.
He killed most of them but requested my aid with taking down the last one.
However I failed him, all my bullets missed and the xeno stormed forwards, devouring Shelnix.
I ran forwards and finished the xeno with my blade just when Blaine returned.
Even though we finished victorious, Shelnix blood is on my hands. If I was stronger this wouldn't have happened.
We return to base now to regroup.

Demonlord Deric of the remnants of squadron VI reporting.
Despite the heavy losses we suffered during our previous raid, command needed our help once again.
We were deployed in a Rubicon Starbase with the goal of scouting out the area.
All went well until we stumbled upon a xeno infestation that was causing the base to collapse.
We were split up, I was trapped with Marcus while Blaine and Clint were stuck on the other side.
By carving a path through the xenos both groups managed to reach the meetup point but I got wounded in the process.
Marcus went up front with me behind him. Blaine and Clint covered our back.
But it didn't take long for the xenos to catch up with us. Blaine held them back for a while, but died by the hordes.
I will miss him, even though his behavior was a bit rash sometimes he was skilled with a gun and cared deeply about his squadmembers.
I reached the end together with Marcus. He was an expert after all and had no trouble against the attacking xenos.
We received a communication from Clint. He had survived the xenos and was coming to our position.
Marcus stood on guard, ready to take down the xenos once Clint reached the protected zone.
But just before Clint could enter the zone guarded by Marcus, a xeno jumped on his back and heavily wounded him.
Since I had no way to heal him anymore, he knew his fate was sealed.
So he ordered Marcus to retreat, and turned around to hold back the xenos for as long as possible.
After all these heavy losses I'm going to have request backup from command if I want to have any hope to survive out here any longer.

The templar fleet stationed here was under heavy xeno attack and command ordered us to cause a distraction to allow the safe extraction of the squads stationed here.
With the help of Asriel, our new Hydra specialist, we grouped up and create a protected zone.
Because Marcus and Asriel took out the majority of foes, Voveno had an easy time facing the few xeno that attacked him.
The enemy hordes were held back without any issues.

While moving out to meet with a forward team send to the abandoned city on Evox we got ambushed by waves of xeno foes.
No communication is coming through from the other team and our cruiser is unable to land because of the large amount of xenos.
Eventually, after creating a protected zone, the cruiser managed to land and our team evacuated to safety.

Demonlord Deric of the last remnant of squadron VI reporting.
After succesfully holding the area and allowing the population to escape it was our time to leave.
Everything went wrong from the start.
Since we were split up in seperate rooms, Asriel was the first one to fall.
He wasn't strong enough to fight off the xenos with his fists and his fire would only burn down the hallways for the rest of us.
Soon afterwards Voveno fell. She was too inexperienced to hold off the xenos alone.
I got wounded and started running towards the exit.
As by a miracle did I make it over to Marcus, the only surviving member of the squad.
Expertly he shot down the xenos in our path and protected me until we reached the safe zone.
Even though we survived, we are the last members of the battleforce left.
And I just received orders that command needs us fast on another urgent mission.
I fear this might be the end.

We received an urgent mission to recover important cargo from an infested ship.
Since there was no other team nearby, there was no other choice then for the two of us to enter the ship alone.
Even though Marcus is one of the most skilled men I ever fought besides, I had no hope of getting out of here alive
But Marcus proved me wrong.
By covering my back, and shooting down any xeno that came near us, he gave me enough time to hurry over to the cargo containers and pick up the important cargo.
Afterwards we quickly both fled the crashing ship.
I'm going to have to request more backup for future missions though.

Our last mission during our tour is to clear out another abandoned infested ship.
The ship is near collapsing.
But since command doesn't want to take any risks with xenos so close to a populated planet, our team is send in to blow it up.

We split up to set the charges in time.

The furthest target was mine. I don't want to hide behind my crew anymore. Too many good men have died because of that.

I managed to set my charges, just like Lucius and Marcus.
But Tulux failed to defeat the xenos guarding his target and was killed by them.
This forced Marcus and Lucius to move over to Tulux' target and place charges there too.
During extraction Marcus guarded our way out but got wounded by a xeno.
I ran back, not wanting to leave my only friend left to die.
After healing him back up we killed the closest xenos and ran to the exit.

Scouting out another ship that is suspected with xeno activity.
For some reason I felt a bit uneasy with the mission this time, something was off.
Still Marcus, me and the rookies went to check it out.
I decide to guard the back of our group myself.
My days of hiding between my men are over, I lost too many good men who gave their life to protect me.
With Marcus cutting a path through the xenos, and Lucius and Aurora activating the switches we all made it to the safe zone.

Things are going wrong very fast.
We had just reached the safe point when we received communication that extraction was impossible because of the heavy damage to the ship.
Reaching the bridge and manually overriding the controls is our only hope out of here.
With Marcus up front and me in the back we slowly moved towards our next safe zone.
On the way there we suddenly heard the engines of the abandoned ship coming back to life.
It didn't take us long before we found even more signs that things weren't as they seemed on this ship.
Luckily we all made the safe zone and I decided to contact command again to inform them about the recent developments.

With xenos pouring in from every corner we need to hurry on and get to the bridge.
However the closest way to get there is by using a cargo lift on the other side.
Unfortunately the lift is deactivated and we'll need to activate the switches for it to work again.
The first alpha switch was easy enough, but then the xenos started their attack.
Marcus cut us a path to the second switch but then the real trouble began.
The master switch was in a very damaged part of the ship, which meant a lot of dangerous xenos.
Lucious and Aurora went in together and proved their strength by holding a defensive line while going to the switch.
Afterwards the three of us gathered up with Marcus who was guarding the cargo lift.

While on our way to the bridge we encountered a strange unauthorised security bulkhead.
With xenos at our heels we had to bypass it quickly.
With haste we disabled the locks and rushed to our escape.
Hopefully no more unexpected interuptions will keep us from reaching the bridge.

Before reaching the bridge we received another change of plans.
The crew of the ship was probably already dead so our only goal left was to neutralise the ship by any means.
Instead of forcing our way towards the bridge we went to disable the advanced bridge system by destroying the relays.
We reached the relays with surprisingly little xeno resistance.
Marcus, Aurora and me set up a protective zone, while Lucius ran around to disable the relays.
While the ship is now stranded dead in space, we aren't out of here yet.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of the remnants of squadron VI reporting.
Extraction was on their way, we were getting close to getting out of this traitor ship.
But before we could escape we needed to hold back one final assault of xenos filth.
It became clear that they were gathering in large numbers to stop us in one final assault.
To avoid leaving us split up I decided to gather us together in one of the rooms.
But I made one mistake, I chose the wrong room.
After destroying the relays an emergency shutdown occured, which shutdown all emergency doors behind us.
Since this would protect us from xeno attacks in our rear, I just assumed that we didn't need to cover that side and hadn't paid more attention to it.
Unbeknownst to me, one of the security doors malfunctioned, allowing xenos to pour in and attack us from that side.
As soon as the first attacks from our back begun I jumped in the fray and covered the back side myself while slowly moving the team back to the other room.
With wounded men and low ammo we fortified our position in the protected room and held ground until the full scale strike ended.
Extraction must be near now, soon we'll be out of here.
I couldn't have done it without my great team.
Marcus showed once again why he's an expert at defeating enemies of the templars.
While Lucious and Aurora started this mission as rookies, but managed to handle everything throw at them.
I'm proud to be their leader.

Communication came through from the bridge, suggesting that there might still be survivors located there.
With the destruction of the ship imminent, there is no time to send another team.
We carefully move out towards the bridge.
Despite having cut down many xenos during our last defense, their numbers are still plentiful.
The hallway to the bridge is long, and despite Marcus and Aurora's efforts, our progress is slow.
And even after making it to the room, we weren't safe yet.
The bridge was damaged and xenos entered the room to a crack in the wall.
With Marcus guarding the damage and me guarding the entrance we managed to take control over the bridge.
Unfortunately our mission was all for nothing.
No crew was found on the bridge, at least no living crew.
I extracted the memory crystal of the ship in the hopes that it could answer some of the questions about what happened here.

Since nobody is found alive on this ship we just need to reach the extraction point and get out.
Unfortunately the closest extraction point is on the other side of the ship.
Once again Marcus took the lead while I covered the team from behind.
Just when we reached near the exit a large group of xenos attacked.
I got wounded but in this small hallway there was nowhere for me to retreat to.
Until finally I reached the exit and managed to escape, with Lucius covering for my retreat.
We reached the exit and returned to base.
Behind us the ship burned down.
Hopefully command manages to figure out what was going on with that ship with the memory crystal we extracted.
After the succes of this mission it's time to upgrade the team with some new gear.

After our previous succesful mission, and with the help of the memory crystal, command managed to discover a location on Endivius frequently visited by the captain.
Our team was send in to check it out.
We discovered an excavated metallic structure, it's nature and origin still unknown.
It's unsure what dangers will lay ahead of us in here.
Despite the structure looking old and metallic, the wall had many newly dug holes.
It didn't take long until xenos started crawling out of the holes.
We reached the final room, but the hordes had gathered up together and decided to launch one final attack at us.
Me and Lucius got wounded while trying to escape but we all reached the door alive.

The second security door posed a bigger challenge to our progress.
Our sensorkits discovered two switches that could be used to deactivate the doorway, but unfortunately they were far away from eachother.
I considered splitting up the squad, but it was too dangerous to be split up so far from another.
The Northern switch was easily activated, but then trouble started.
Vicious xenos assaulted Lucius, who actived the switch.
Since time and ammo started to run out, I send Aurora alone to activate the final switch while we set up a defensive room close by.
She managed to fend off the xenoforms, and we rushed over to the security door.
However we only just managed to enter this dark mysterious place.

Another roadblock in our path.
This time our standard measures aren't enough to overcome the security on the elevator.
A team is send out to meet us here and bring us the gear needed to activate the elevator.
We just need to hold here until the team arrives.
Despite fighting more on the front lines by guarding the back of the team these days, this time I stayed behind my team again.
It was too risky to get wounded now and I have to spare my energy for the many challenges still ahead.
Lucius got wounded a few times but with my help he managed to pull through.
We survived until the team with the security gear arrived.

The scout team has arrived safely with the security device.
Unfortunately they suffered heavy casualties and are unable to help us any further.
Hopefully they'll make it back alive.
We need to press on further, with the help of this device we might be able to open the elevator to descend.
The way to the elevator is long, dangerous and ridden with xenoforms.
Many xenoforms die at my blade and eventually I make it through, and activate the elevator.
Behind me the entire team hurries inside and I follow soon.
A small moment of rest for my exhausted team.

When the elevator arrived in the depths we got ambushed by xenos from all sides.
The doors opened slowly so we had to defend against the waves until we could proceed.
Right before we were able to leave, I discovered a pack of strange eggs that had similar properties to the xenoforms.
I took a sample but was unable to destroy them all before the doors opened and further hordes poured in.
This needs to be investigated after we escape this place.

While we were delving deeper in the strange complex we stumbled upon the one behind this all.
A Javat rogue trader had found some sort of Narvidian artifact in these depths that turned him insane.
Our squad proceeded with care, unsure what other horrors to expected further ahead.
Narvidian artifacts were dangerous and the more powerful ones could have devastating effects, even in the hands of someone unskilled to use them.
With Marcus cutting a way through the xenos in the front, me behind him and Lucius and Aurora covering our back we made good progress.
All chanced when an explosion happened behind us.
The surface elevator, our main hope out of this place, was destroyed.
At the same time the two scouts were already wounded and we were in too narrow of a corridor so I couldn't take their place.
Still, we had to press forward.
To bring the rogue trader behind this all to justice and maybe find another exit out of this vile place.
However what we found were more of those strange eggs that I found in the elevator.
This time I had a bit more time to examine them.
They were some kind of horrifying combination of metal and flesh and pulsated as if they were alive.
Marcus destroyed the eggs by unleashing a hail of bullets on them and we proceeded forwards, even deeper into the place.
We have survived for now, but only time will tell what other horrors this place might hold.

Our sensors had picked up dire news.
Three more large groups of eggs sacks were discovered.
Even though it would be a detour away from the fasted path to proceed to the insane rogue trader, we couldn't allow such evils to exist.
So I decided to go and purge the eggs with blade and gun.
However it didn't take long before our group got jumped on by xenos in the large hallways and with their faster speed and higher numbers their surrounded us from all sides.
We fended off the xenos, but made little progress towards our goal, allowing more xenoforms to get closer to our position.
While Lucius and Aurora originally covered our back, I quickly had to replace them since the scouts got wounded and I wasn't able to heal and repair them anymore.
Eventually we somehow made it to the first batch.
While Aurora started punching away at the eggs, the rest of us held cover and protected all entrances.
This did spread us very thin, and me and Lucius were attacked by the ravenous beasts.
We fought with Shaluns might, and with his blessing we managed to get out unscathed.
Meanwhile, Marcus had been busy creating a path to the next batch of eggs and we rushed to our next position.
Lucius took care of this group.
But while he slowly punched away at the eggs, things were turning dire for the rest of the group.
Ammunition started getting low, and fighting them in one on one combat is dangerous without chaplain healing.
Still, we had to push forward and try to destroy the final batch of eggs.
This time I was the one destroying the eggs.
I was out of bullets anyways and I was the most experienced in melee fighting.
This ended up to be my biggest mistake.
While I was slashing down the eggs, a xenoform rushed the defensive line and mortally wounded Lucius.
Knowing that his time was coming to an end, Lucius ran forwards into the xeno hordes.
He created a diversion that allowed the rest of the team to escape.
Even without any bullets left in his gun, he managed to take down many xenoforms that were in our pursuit.
I took care of the switches that opened the exit myself, not wanting to risk losing another team member.
The traitor rogue captain was screaming things through the comms but I was too focussed on my task to listen to his worthless words.
But somehow, luck was on our side today.
A templar scout that was aiding the team that guarded the scout that brought us the evalator key got split up from the group and stumbled upon our group.
Even though he was still a rookie, we needed every help we could get here so I contacted command to make him officially part of our team.
We pressed on forward to bring the rogue captain to justice and make him pay for Lucius death.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
The rogue captain has escaped and left dozens of corpes laying in his wake.
Before following further in his pursuit I decided to do a sweep of the area to possibly gather more information about the artifact he acquired and destroy any remaining eggs.
Moving foward the true horror of the situation showed itself.
The rogue captains entire crew was wiped out in a few seconds.
Whatever the artifact is that the captain found, it was even more powerful then I expected.
When we found the first batch of eggs, more horror was discovered.
The eggs seemed to be made from metal and the flesh of human and xeno combined.
Whatever powers the artifact has, it's clear that it's far out of the rogue captain's control.
To avoid wasting time slowly punching or slashing down the eggs, Marcus unleashed his gun upon them and wiped them out in a single volley.
While Marcus and Calvin went ahead to destroy the other eggs, me and Aurora stayed behind to deal with our pursuers.
Marcus quickly destroyed his group of eggs, but Calvin had trouble getting through their hard shell.
While he was slowly punching and shooting at them, the xenos poured in with large hordes from every side.
One of them managed to get through our defense and lightly wound me.
I knew I had to step up before we got overrun and switched places with Calvin.
With my sword skills, the eggs didn't last long.
But we weren't in the clear yet.
Just when I joined up with the group, and Marcus moved forward to clear the way, a large group of xenos attacked.
Without Marcus expertise to protect us, and with both scouts completely out of bullets, our chance of survival was small.
But by slowly backing away and engaging in melee combat with any xenoform that came close, we managed to make it to Marcus position.
Once we made it there, we hurried to the safe zone.
Now that the inner sanctum is cleared we can focus again on our pursuit of the traitor captain.

The rogue captain has escape our sensors and blocked our exit routes.
We have found another escape route but it's a long and dangerous path that will take us weeks to traverse.
But we need to press forwards to warn the Templar order about the dangerous criminal.
Initially we made good progress, with very little xenoform resistance.
But all chanced when we reached the end of the first hallway.
Large hordes of xenos poured in from every side, and they heavily wounded Calvin and Aurora who were covering our back.
I had to run back, healing and repairing the scouts and taking the back role myself to avoid any deaths among my team.
Since Marcus was unable to help he went ahead to clear the way.
With my combat expertise I managed to fight off the attacking hordes and slowly back away.
In the end I saw another large horde approaching so I turned and ran and luckily managed to reach the safe zone in time.
There we found a small supply elevator which fastened our progress to the surface to mere days.
Unfortunately, the ship that brought us here was death.
No doubt killed by the escaped rogue captain.
Eventually we did manage to escape the planet by confiscating the ship of another rogue captain that arrived on this planet.
Back in the base I was awarded a Devastator sword as a reward for my honor and bravery.
While I feel like I don't yet deserve it with the traitor captain still on the loose, I shall wield it with honor.

Roavin is under attack.
The templar fleet is still too far away to deal with these threats.
We were here to recover after our previous mission but with the Defense systems offline we are the only thing stopping the xenos from fully overrunning this place.
If we didn't have Marcus quickly mowing down dozens of xenos we probably would have had little chance of surviving this initial encounter.
Hopefully with the defensive systems soon online again we might have a chance of repelling this foe.

We must protect the gates, if they fall all hope for Roavin fortress is lost.
Luckily with Marcus's skill, we fended off the initial attackers.

The gates of Roavin have fallen.
In a last desperate attempt to save this place we held the entrances by ourselves.
Maybe this gives the inner defense enough time to prepare for the next wave.
Me and Calvin defended the left gate while Marcus and Aurora are holding the right one.
At least that was the original plan.
Since the xenoforms seemed to focus on the left gate and I quickly ran out of bullets, Marcus and Aurora made a foolish decision to create a diversion by making a forward maneuver.
And it all went well, until a xeno managed to pierce my armor and wound me.
While I stumbled backwards wounded, Calvin jumped in front of me.
Despite being inexperienced and completely out of bullets, Calvin managed to kill a bunch of xenos and take many of their blows before finally going down.
I ran, with my wounds and Marcus and Aurora too far away to help, I was in no position to fight such a large horde.
Just when I thought my time had come, the defense force launched their attack, killing the xeno horde and allowing Marcus and Aurora to retreat back in the walls.
We lost another brave scout today, and with no support from the templar fleet it's just the three of us left here.

The hallways are filled with xenoforms and it's merely a matter of time before the last humans in this fortress will die.
In the chaos of it all, we were split up.
Knowing that we wouldn't surive for long on our own, I ordered us to gather together at the entrance of the last defensive gate.
Holding this gate allowed the last survivors to live another day.
Even without a full squad, we held back the xenos without problem.
More good news arrived, a templar scout that previously worked for a rogue captain was on a ship nearby and agreed to join our squad as reinforcement.
With a full squad again we might have a chance against the horde.

It has been a week since we started our defense against the xeno hordes.
With a full squad again we repelled the attackers every time.
But the xenoforms outsmarted us.
While we held the gates and protected the last survivors, they had been digging tunnels through the walls of the structure.
Many of the last surivors have died and our squad was forced to retreat even deeper in the fortress.
We fought off the attacking force with all our might.
And then it happened, by the time I realised what was happening it was already too late.
A large xenoform stormed forwards, and shredded through Marcus armor, killing him instantly.
He didn't even have time to fight or react.
In seconds, my friend had been reduced to nothing more then a corpse on the floor.
I have seen many deaths before, but the death of Marcus felt different.
Through it all he was always there for me, no matter how dire the situation looked.
But I had no time to mourn, with one squad member less we struggled to hold back the xeno horde.
After a long battle with many wounds we managed to survive the attack.
But it was a hollow victory with the death of my most trusted friend and ally.
I just received a message that the fleet has arrived and is ready to aid in the battle.
I requisitioned another Neptune trooper, since we just lost our last heavy weapons specialist.
They send us Demongun Gaiuz.
Even though he's trained to handle a Neptune gun, he's still a rookie.
This makes Aurora the only experienced squadmember left that I trust to protect my back.

Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
With the fleet in orbit preparing their attack we only had to hold on for a bit longer.
Together with the final few survivors we gathered in the reactor room for our last stand.
Despite Gaiuz inexperience clearly showing since he often needed a hail of bullets to kill even a single xeno, he was a helpful ally.
Until he ran out of bullets and a xeno managed to get close and wound him.
I ordered him to retreat and join the rest of the survivors because I didn't want to lose another team member during this attack.
Aurora took his place, she was the most experienced member and had the best chance of survival.
But it all went wrong, even with their combined attacks, Aurora and Orla didn't manage to kill a large xeno and it prepared itself to shred them to pieces.
I couldn't watch it happen so I dived forward, this distracted the xeno and it turned its attack towards me.
With xenos attacking me from two sides I struggled but with Shaluns might I fended them off and got out of it unharmed.
My retaliation with my Devastator was swift and deadly and the attacking xenos died without anymore struggle.
But more xenos poured through and bullets were starting to run out.
It would only be a matter of time before the horde tore through the defense and killed the last survivors.
Then their numbers dwindled, the Templar attack had begun and the xenos suffered grave losses.
We had won, a victory that would be celebrated for days.
I decided to expand our squad some more with another Heavy weapon specialist, the Hydra Knight Demonflame Martius.
Marcus and Calvin and the others that died in the defense of the fortress were remembered as heroes.
A noble death defending against xeno hordes and protecting the many planets that are under Roavin's protection.
And yet, it feels empty with the loss of my closest friend.

Since my squad now mostly consists of rookies again, it isn't ready yet to pursue the dangerous rogue trader that is still on the run.
I signed us up for patrol duty.
Hopefully the squadmembers learn something from fighting off the xenos and traitors that we encounter.
Our first target was a damaged Dagger class ship.
The ship is attacked by xenos and will certainly collapse upon itself soon, but it's best that we shut down the power first so it's certain that none of the traitors on board can escape.
We decided to split up, there were too many power stations to be able to get them all in time as one group.
I took Aurora with me to the right while the rookies went to do the left side.
Because of the heavy concentration of xenoforms on the ship both groups barely made any progress forwards.
Most xenoforms seemed to focus on the right side and I was struggling to fend of the large amount of vicious attacks.
It is certain that if I didn't have my Devastator sword to easily cut through the enemies I would have died out there.
But eventually both teams disable their power generators and get close to the safe zone.
Me and Gaiuz already made it there while Aurora and Orla were slowly moving backwards to try and reach it safely.
Then Orla got wounded and she had to make a run for it.
Because she couldn't make the safe zone in time I leaped forward, jumping in front of Orla to take the hit and allow her to safely get to the zone.
Aurora quickly followed too and we hurried inside with large xeno hordes in pursuit.
When looking outside our ship after leaving I saw the ship collapsing behind us.
A successful start of our patrol.

Or next target is a ship that has gone rogue, the crew has turned against their captain and are killing all opposition.
Luckily all we need to do here is move to the bridge and take control of the ship again.
However, I am the only member of this team with any experience fighting human opponents.
Even Aurora has only faced xeno foes so far.
Because of this, I decided to protect our back myself, with Gaiuz in front mowing down each enemy that showed itself.
Wave after wave of gunmen stormed us until Gaiuz was completely out of bullets.
Orla had to replace him in front with Aurora behind her.
They fought off the last wave and we made it without further problems to the bridge.

Before starting the mission I requested a Storm fist for Aurora.
She has certainly earned it with her bravery in our missions, and hopefully it'll help us in the future.
The mission started out clean, without too much enemy resistance we managed to set up the explosives.
But that's when something went wrong.
The timer on the charges activated before we managed to leave the ship and we only had little time left before the ship would exploded with us still in it.
Our group banded together and hurried to the exit.
I covered the back together with Aurora, with Gaiuz and Orla fighting on front.
Even though we easily managed to take care of the first xeno wave, time was not on our side here.
But things turned worse during the next wave when our back needed more attention and Gaiuz was left defending the front line alone.
Despite cutting down numerous xenos, he eventually got surrounded and heavily wounded.
I rushed towards him to heal him, but this left our back exposed again and Aurora and Orla struggled against the large swarm.
If it wasn't for the Storm fist that I gave her at the start, the two scouts might have not made it out of there alive.
Gaiuz ran towards the extraction point, but before the rest of us could extract, the xenos did a final assault against our group.
Aurora got heavily wounded, but I was able to heal her and we all made it to the point.
Not much after we left, the ship exploded behind us.
I need to figure out what went wrong with the charges, so this will never happen again.

Our next target is another illegal trading ship.
This mission started of risky, with a daring boarding action.
To be able to get close, we split the squad up in two separate boarding pods.
I took one together with Gaiuz, and Aurora and Orla went into the other one.
By putting the two scouts together I had hoped that they would quickly be able to regroup.
But things went wrong right from the start.
Heavily armed gunmen were waiting for us and me and Orla got wounded.
However, the traitors had underestimated us, and after dispatching the first wave we managed to make it to the bridge without further encounters.

This was supposed to be just a routine check, but suddenly during our checkup we got ambushed by xenos from all sides.
Caught in a bad position and with xenos at every corner, we had no choice but to bunker down in a hallway.
It wasn't the best defensible position, but we had no other choice.
Orla ended up in the worst position, with most xenos coming from her side.
After she got wounded from the xeno attacks, we decided to slowly move towards a better defensible room.
This allowed Gaiuz to take her place with Aurora covering behind him.
Despite this switch, the squad started to run low on ammo and the xenos showed no signs of slowing down.
Gaiuz got slightly wounded, but because I knew we still had a long fight ahead, I waited with healing him.
Then a xeno attacked from the side and wounded me, forcing me to retreated to the backlines.
With one man less, covering all sides became an issue, and even more when when both Gaiuz and Orla ran out of bullets.
They started smashing down on the vile bugs, but this wasn't very effective.
Not long after me and Aurora also ran out of bullets, leaving us in a desperate final melee struggle.
When things started looking better, I ran towards Gaiuz.
This was a mistake, a small xeno slipped through our lines and attacked me directly.
I was barely able to survive it, but luckily after dispatching of those final xenos, their assault ended and we were finally able to catch our breath again.
This was certainly a big test for the rookies in the team and they certainly succeeded.
Now it is time to find the source behind this xeno trap and take care of it, though I fear that it might be connected with the dangerous rogue trader still on the run.

Another ambush, but this time we got caught while separated.
With xenos pouring in from all sides, our only chance of survival is regrouping again to make a defensive stand.
Me and Aurora both took a rookie with us during this mission, so she was guiding Gaiuz while I kept an eye on Orla.
With the rendezvous point not too far away, we didn't have to worry about conserving our ammunition for this mission.
Or at least that was the idea, because things went wrong fast when Aurora got heavily wounded while guarding Gaiuz back.
I knew that if I didn't give her medical aid fast, she wouldn't survive this mission.
So I had to play it risky and rush towards her, leaving Orla to defend against the approaching xeno hordes alone.
This maneuver slowed down our extraction, but I had to take the risk to try and save her.
I was reminded of everyone that I lost because of my mistakes.
Everyone that I was unable to defend and unable to save.
Including Marcus, my most trusted ally and friend.
But Aurora didn't meet that fate today.
I made it to her, and managed to stabilize her for long enough that she made it to the extraction point and was able to get fully patched up by the medics aboard the Templar ship.
This trip has been a big success.
Now it is time to proceed our main mission and hunt for the rogue trader still on the loose.
But for that we needed to be better armed, so I requested some better gear for Aurora.

Our first clue was near a xeno infested planet.
The xeno activity had spiked unexpectedly and without any xeno ships detected.
But before we were able to investigate, we first had to try to protect the local population.
We had a slow start, but after getting in the right position with Gaiuz in front, things started moving along.
Xenos were following us, but we managed to outspeed them for a while to gain some ground.
This worked well for a bit, but eventually the xenos managed to catch up and we were forced to stop entirely and deal with their larger horde.
After a scratch from one of the xenos, Aurora decided to take my place on the backline.
We managed to get close to our goal when another large horde of xenos showed up behind us.
Aurora was just able to fight them off, but with more xenos coming from all sides and ammo getting low, we made a desperate run towards the elevator.
With the doors closing behind us we were safe for a moment.
But we weren't out of the xeno infested grounds yet.

With the evacuation of the local population going on, it was time for us to move out of the abandoned urban zone in the direction of the evacuation spot.
But with xeno foes attacking from every side in this open area, we struggled to make any ground.
Gaiuz went ahead to make a path for us, while the rest tried holding back the neverending hordes.
Orla got heavily wounded while covering our back when she got surrounded by the foul bugs from all sides, but luckily I was able to patch her up again.
Eventually we reached the smaller hallways and after dispatching of the last foes behind us, things went a lot easier.
Aurora took over the back after Orla started running low on ammo and got wounded again.
When we reached the elevator, Gaiuz stood watch while we entered.
Now that we are out of the urban zone we just need to reach the landing zone.

The evacuation of the urban zone is complete.
Now only our squad still needed to leave before the templar flagship can start with bombing the area.
However, this extraction went wrong right from the start.
With our squad split up and went we moved to meet up again, both Aurora and Orla got wounded.
Without enough repair tools for everyone, I decided to cover the backline myself.
When Gaiuz also got wounded I decided to give my last healing charge to him because he was on the frontline.
We tried pushing forward with this wounded team, but a xeno stormed in from the side and killed Aurora.
The shock wasn't fully processed as the doubts if I shouldn't have healed her instead of the more rookie members of the team filled my head.
But I had no time to doubt myself.
I had to push forward and lead the rest of the team to safety.
We were moving slowly because of the constant attacks and with decreasing ammo, the rest of the team was filled with doubts about if we were actually going to make it.
But I urged them to press forward and after a while we made it to the open hall with in the middle our escape pod.
Gaiuz and Orla made a push towards the pod, while I was a bit behind because I was holding back the xenos that were following us.
But then a xeno ran behind Gaiuz and stabbed him in the back, killing him instantly.
I had no time for vengeance, since I couldn't risk losing my last squadmember, so I ran towards the escape pod, leaving this cursed planet behind.
The loss of Aurora hit me harder than I had expected.
Not only was she the most skilled scout that I have ever met, I also saw good leadership qualities in her.
Maybe she would have been a better leader then me.

Report:
Demonlord Deric reporting.
An urgent report came in about a FDF team that was lost on the planet with a very important Narvidian artifact.
There was no time to regroup, so I was sent in with Gaiuz to try to recover it before it was too late.
With just the two of us and a difficult mission ahead of us, I had low hopes of survival.
But because it was an important mission from command, I had no choice.
Because we were heavily outnumbered our progress was slow.
Eventually I order Gaiuz to run forward alone to progress the mission while I held back the endless xeno hordes in our back.
This worked for a bit, but without Gaiuz help I quickly got surrounded.
On top of that Gaiuz also discovered that our mission was in vain anyways since the artifact was already gone from this location.
We went to meet up again so we could try to escape but a xeno caught up with me and managed to wound me.
Gaiuz also got wounded and even though I was able to heal him a few times, eventually I ran out.
All the fighting left Gaiuz so wounded that he knew that he wasn't going to make it, even if he made it to the shuttle.
So he stayed behind, holding back the enemy, even just with his fists when his gun ran out, until they eventually overwhelmed and killed him.
I managed to limp into the pod, shutting the door before the bloodthirsty xeno foes.
The mission is failed and my whole squad is dead.
Even though command allows me to fill my ranks with more experienced members because of my past successes, I do not feel like I have deserved that honor.

I would have prefered not to send my new squad right into enemy gunfire, but command managed to trace back the stolen artifact to a nearby FDF base.
After the failure last mission, I volunteered to scout with my squad first and take out their defense shields.
On the way, I had a short conversation with Viktor.
He talked about his previous exo-scout squadleader who died together with the rest of a full scout squad in a sudden ambush.
Only Viktor barely managed to get out alive, but he was clearly still scarred by it.
He asked me how I dealt with the loss of the people around me, but I wasn't able to answer him.
In truth, their deaths still weight on me, knowning that if I had done better, they would maybe still be alive.
But then we landed and we needed to focus on the task at hand.
Things went wrong right from the start, Vadez was unable to kill one of the guardsmen and took a heavy hit of gunfire.
Luckily he was able to survive and take care of the remainings guards together with Viktor.
Unfortunately our team was slowed down a lot by Martius, who still had trouble controlling his suit.
But despite his slowness, his flames were able to hold back all attacking FDF from his side with ease.
I do not know what drove the traitors to try to kill us against all odds, even if it meant running through flames that would melt templar armor.
Perhaps the influence of the Narvian artifact had somehow warped their mind.
But after the deed was done and we prepared for extraction, Vadez got mortally wounded.
With no healing left for him, he knew that his time was here, so he decided to sacrifise himself while taking as many traitors with him as possible.
He stormed towards their bunker, shooting down every guard in the way, until one of them got a lucky shot on him and finished him off.
However, with the shields down, more templar squads arrived to finish off this base once and for all.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
We managed to recover the lost artifact.
One of the guards from the traitor base tried running away with it, but with our squad on pursuit it was only a matter of time before we managed to find and take care of the traitor.
But his death somehow managed to activate the artifact and it started pulsing and glowing while xenos begun crawling out of the ground.
This artifact must be related to the high xeno activity on this planet, so this wasn't a clue in our hunt for the loose rogue trader after all.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to think about this for long, since the xenos started attacking from every side in numbers that I have never seen before.
Despite things turning dire very quickly, I couldn't give up.
This artifact had to be brought to the safety of templar command to be studied and afterwards destroyed.
Martius was stuck away from the group, so I went to get him while Viktor and Arya held ground.
But Martius made a mistake and fired too closely to himself, making us unable to progress with the flames around us.
This forced Viktor and Arya to defend on their own.
But one of the xenos managed to heavily wound me, forcing me to retreat.
Just when me and Martius reached the safe point, a xeno shredded Arya right before I could react.
Martius then decided to sacrifice himself, by throwing down fire before the entrance to stop the xenos and give me a chance to retreat.
But I didn't want to leave him behind wounded like that so I repaired the damages to his suit, giving him a fighting chance.
By Shaluns might he even managed to fight a way to the entrance by himself with just his fists, but then while he was retreating a large xeno killed him in a single blow.
I managed to retreat but without fire to hold them back, large hordes of the vile bugs poured into the defended zone.
Behind me, Viktor completely ran out of bullets so he was desperately trying to smash the bugs away from him.
Just when all hope seemed lost, the artifact stopped glowing and the xenos stopped coming, leaving us with just a few left to finish.
This filled us with the courage to push forwards and before long the last foes were killed by blade and fist.
For this heroic battle and success in retrieving this dangerous artifact, squadron VI has earned its place in the hall of records.
But for me it was a hollow victory, I have lost many good men and women on this planet and I still don't have a clue about the location of that dangerous traitor trader.

Another clue was discovered about the possible location of the dangerous rogue trader.
Reports were made about an unusually large xeno being spotted on an overrun planet.
Despite our squad not being strong enough anymore to deal with such a threat, I had to go investigate.
We quickly were surrounded by xenos.
If we wanted to investigate we needed to cut them off.
We had a plan but it was very dangerous, three charges had to be places in various locations.
Corvin would run off stealthly to get one of the locations while Viktor and I would draw the attention away from him while moving to the other two locations.
Things started off well, Corvin snuck by undetected while I cut through the xeno hordes.
Viktor returned to us and we placed the second charge.
But ammo was running out and the xenos kept swarming from every side.
With a large horde behind us when we placed the final charge, and no ammo left, we knew that we probably wouldn't make it all out alive.
So Corvin volunteered to stay behind and hold off the xeno hordes, while we ran to the exit.
While we entered the escape lift, we heard someone approaching.
Corvin had fought off the xeno hordes with just his fists and was running towards the exit.
He made it to us alive and together we moved to the next location.
Even though this was his first mission together with us, he really proved himself already.
Still, I decided to call in backup to help with the upcoming fight.

Our escape plan didn't work out as well as we had expected.
The collapse of the lower levels had blocked off our regular route.
We had to go the long way around, but even this path was partially destroyed by the explosion and xenos managed to climb up to here.
On top off that, the power stations needed to escape are damaged.
Still, with the success of our previous mission, we decided to follow a similiar plan.
Viktor as our most experienced scout would go and fix the first reactor while the rest of us would carve a path up ahead to the second one.
At the second reactor, Corvin and Tremez went in to repair it, while I held off approaching xenos.
With all reactors online, we grouped up and moved towards the elevator.
But on the hallway there a large an ambush happened.
An agile xeno managed to dodge our shots and I was left wide open against his attacks.
Only by a miracle from Shalun did I manage to hold him off for long enough until there was an opening in his attacks where I could strike down the dangerous foe.
Out of ammo and healing, we came closer to our escape.
We rushed into the elevator, but Corvin who was guarding our back was still left outside, surrounded by xenos on all sides.
Despite the dire situation, he held off the xenos for long enough until he could run inside and we could close the doors behind him.
Once again Corvin has proven his bravery and strength.
It is time that I arm the new recruits with better gear, that should solve our ammo problems too.

We are nearing our destination, and while more squads are approaching for backup, time is running out.
Because we don't have the resources to hold on until their arrival, our only hope is to push forward and move out before a large enough xeno group overruns us.
We made good progress, but unfortunately there wasn't enough room in the escape elevator for all of us.
So Viktor and Corvin went to make a daring push towards the second elevator, further down the corridor.
Both groups survived and we pressed onwards towards our final destination.

Only when we were near our target did the full extend of this threat reveal itself.
The reports didn't lie, but the truth was worse then expected.
It wasn't just a large xeno that was wandering these halls, but a Xeno Lord.
This vile strain of xeno mutation hadn't been seen in years.
Our sensors picked up an escape pod nearby, but I couldn't call for the retreat knowing that this foe was still out there.
As long as this enemy lived it would be a threat to every living thing.
I wished I had a heavy weapon expert to support in this mission, but I had no choice but to press on with the team that I had.
Viktor, went in front with Corvin behind him for fire support.
Tremez covered one of the hallways while I slashed down the large hordes of xenos that came pouring in.
The Lord approached, and Viktor and Corvin unload a full clip into the horror but it didn't even flinch.
The beast retaliated and in a few deadly strikes, Viktor was barely holding on to his life.
I made a desperate move and ran towards them to patch Viktor back up and with renewed vigor, they unload another full clip into the beast.
Still, it wasn't enough and the beast struck again, barely killing Viktor once more.
I did one last healing wave before having to switch over to hold back the swarming xenos.
In a last push, Viktor and Corvin rained hell on the beast and they barely brought it to it's knees.
With their Lord slain, the remaining xenos lost morale and scattered back into the pits that they came from.
This world is saved from a great threat, and I can only hope that this was finally the last of their kind.
When returning we were seen as heroes and earned another spot in the hall of Records.
Still, I could not rest, knowing that my vengeance isn't complete and the real foe that I was hunting was still out there.

On route to our next location, our ship was taken under fire.
It wasn't long until our engines were taken out and we heard the boarding party docking onto our ship to finish the job.
We had to move quick to repair critical locations to get our ship back in a fighting position.
Viktor, Corvin and Tremez moved to take care of the locations while I protected the bridge.
But I underestimated our opponents.
I had expected it to be just a star trader who picked the wrong target, but it turned out to be large specialized group, trained in killed templars.
They surrounded from all sides and things started looking dire.
Corvin quickly got killed before the group even reached the second point.
Because of this I had to take a drastic decision.
Despite knowing that I was sending them to their death, I ordered Viktor and Tremez to rush ahead and repair the remaining critical points at all cost.
They rushed in and started running back, bullets raining upon them from behind.
Meanwhile, I was getting overrun in the bridge.
They knew the weakness of Leviathan armor with it's slower turning time and surrounded me while I was alone.
Despite being heavily wounded, I cut down the bounty hunters and tried enabling the ship again.
Tremez was the first one to join me, but Viktor was stuck a bit behind and was completely open against their gunfire from all sides.
Somehow, barely alive, Viktor managed to drag himself to the bridge where I quickly rushed towards him to patch him back up.
With the ship back operational, we made a ramming maneuver to the bounty hunter's ship, heavily damaging it and allowing us a chance to escape.
Cut off from the rest of their allies, we killed the remaining traitors in our ship and contacted command about the situation.
They send us reinforcements and promised to send a team to hunt the traitor captain, while we proceeded towards our destination.
We had won, but morale in the team was low after this close brush with death.

Report:
Demonlord Deric of squadron VI reporting.
We arrived at our destination, a strange temple complex on a large astroid that entered our space days ago.
It became quickly clear that the whole temple was overrun by an unusually large amount of xenos and it had to be destroyed fast.
Tremez and Emma would run off to stealthly place two bomb charges while I would draw the attention with Viktor and move towards placing the last charge.
But the xeno threat was even larger then expected and it wasn't long before both parties were completely overrun by the vile horde.
Tremez and Emma succeeded in planting the charges, but because of our attention, the last point was so swarmed by xenos that we had to way to actually reach the point.
It was Emma who rushed towards the position and flanked the xeno horde, finally allowing us to plant the final charge.
But with us low on ammo and health and more xenos swarming in we had to make a run for it.
Tremez who was left behind alone was first to fall. He made it closer to our position but the xenos were too numerous and killed him.
After running out of ammo Viktor was next, he tried holding them off but couldn't hold forever against the endless tide.
I made it to the save zone and Emma was right behind me when a large xeno jumped on her.
All hope was lost for the team, but Emma shook the bug off and ran towards me.
Luckily I was able to tend to her wounds in time or she wouldn't have survived it either.
The temple collapsed behind us with my fallen brothers inside.
With just the two of us alive while waiting for extraction on this cursed rock, I decided to arm her better to increase our odds of survival.

I have stared death in the eyes many times, but I feel that this time is going to be different.

Hopefully this log will be recovered and returned to the templar order.

The brave men and women that have fought bravely under my command must never be forgotten.

But I won't go down without a fight either.
If we go down, I'll bring as many of them as I can down with us.
