So we talked about this before on discord but i think we should still log it here for the future.
My idea is that these Weapon locker Variants would be medium slot. I know crazy but hear me out on why
Heavier Weapons and Armor and also a small addition of officer gear. Nothing too big or crazy. B would have let's say heavier weapons and accompanying gear, C variant of the weapon locker the reverse heavier armor and more defensive gear options.
Addendum: For the medium slot to make a little more sense. Adding like "variants" of heavier weapon options different piercing/damage values ect. Same for armor in deflection and soak and dodge

Options for alternate lockers:
B: Higher initiative armors that have worse defensive stats C: Slightly stronger armors that have slightly worse weapons D: Sniper Rifles, Snubbers and HMGs are stronger at the expense of blades, pistols, and LMGs E: Weapons that deal baseline plasma damage but lower physical damage F: Armors that grant minor bleed resist but have worse deflection
This was the kind of thing I had in mind.

C: Slightly stronger armors that have slightly worse weapons Yes, please. Nothing worse than having two three enemies crit in a row and have your 150 hp dude die without an action in-between. Bonus points if it's like "Blabla attacks (5s + 5)=10 against (35s + 20)=0 deflection = 99% ... penetrating crit" -_- I'd really like another option to get better armor than "salvage 500 times to get 1 decent armor" Especially balanced armor that's not 80 against ranged 40 against melee.

What if the medium weapon locker could also house a prisoner? That might make it more appealing for a medium slot. A normal prison cell is 3 prisoners, plague ward is 1 + med bay. Have a WL+ prison cell.
It would be good synergy with BH missions which usually lead to CC.

I think it would be cool if there were a weapon locker type gave us needle rifles. IIRC needle rifles were implied to be the most common type of gun used by spacers in STRPG. Needle rifles would do bio-poison damage on their own, so could lead to some interesting CC builds based around bio-poison.
