Slayernz has said, "Ooor ... keep attacking that faction until they become so weakened they get obliterated from the galaxy.
This, however, may take a long while. I've been killing Steel Song ships wherever I can find them, and yet they keep popping back up! Like Daisies!"
So this begs the question of whether or how much the game really does respond to our actions. Can we influence treaties among factions and trade wars?
I am guessing we can't actually annihilate a faction. But can we really diminish the probability of running into their ships for awhile (because we've been purging them)?
Thanks!

Hmmm... one captain against the universe? I'm gonna say 'none'.

some -- the game uses a lot of the captain's actions as entropy generators for the simulation system.
the ability to negotiate treaties, trigger wars and other stuff has been suggested and would be something i'm interested in exploring when i get time!
