The wiki says you can add up to 3 bonus levels to contact recruits by having eztremely high rep, but when I'm in the range listed I don't see a bonus for it. Only era passing, rank/edict permits, and contact traits. Is this information outdated?

Hmm, it should say extremely high military rank.

Can you give me a link to investigate/fix it?

Can you give me a link to investigate/fix it? Cant really link on my phone but it's at the bottom of the reputation page on gamepedia star traders wiki. I did know about the rank bonus, which now that we're on the subject needs fixing, because when you go to buy rank it says all recruits get +1 at rank 13, but the bonus is actually given at rank 12.

It cites: "positive reputation with a contact" which is true. If you lack enough P.Rep you won't get the best recruiting levels possible with them.

I had asked about this awhile ago and got very unhelpful replies. Eventually figured out this chart applies to spice hall recruiting, but to recruiting from contacts. The wiki could use some elaboration to make the distinction.

Yes, it would be extremely helpful to know if those bonus levels only apply to spice hall recruiting. Would love to see it appply to recruiting from contacts as well.

Went back to one of my older games and looked around to see what I could recruit with different factions. Raised some interesting questions. I know that the zone's statistics (economy, miliary, population) affect attributes -- but do they impact recruit level as well?
For instance, I tried spice hall recruiting at two Zenrin zones in the same sector (Dixye Circle), neither of which have active rumors or any contacts. For Zenrin I have 1200 Rep, Rank 15: -- Spice hall recruiting on Pyrata Cross: noncombat roles 11, combat roles 14 -- Spice hall recruiting on Vishalem Gate: noncombat roles at level 12, combat roles at level 16 It seems like the +1 noncombat and +2 combat levels would fit with the Faction Rep bonus stated on the wiki -- but why only at certain zones? Vishalem Gate is much larger and has a military level of 10 while Pyrata Cross is small and only has a military level of 4. Do the level bonuses depend on zone criteria?
I then compared a few systems from different factions: - Thulun (Rep 123, rank 9)(Balkinour Capital): noncombat 10, combat 13 - Javat (Rep 283, Rank 12)(Rimbound): noncombat 11, combat 14 -- I assume the difference compared to the Thulun system (+1 higher for both) here is that I have rank 12 (which seems to have the +1 extra level, not rank 13 as stated on the wiki) - De Valtos (Rep 565, Rank 13)(Evenridge Hive): noncombat 11, combat 14 -- based on the wiki, my rep with De Valtos should give me a bonus level for noncombat recruits (compared to the Javat system, where my Rep is much lower), but it doesn't. However, if I go to a different De Valtos system... - De Valtos (Rep 565, Rank 13)(De Valtos Prime): noncombat 12, combat 14 -- at this De Valtos system I do get an extra level for noncombat recruits but not for combat recruits. Maybe this is the benefit from faction Rep?). Again, it makes me wonder if I get the faction rep bonuses in zones with certain stats (De Valtos Prime has military 10; Evenridge Hive has only 7). I do have a contact in De Valtos Prime with Wing Vet trait and another contact with Naval Vet trait, but I thought those traits only affected recruits from those contacts.
Would love to see if anyone else has similar results!
