I absolutely love both the fast crew combat and the fast ship combat. I miss the combat sounds. They were helpful for hearing damage. With fast combat enabled, an audio cue of a hit would be helpful. The faster the play, the more useful an audio component can become.
It may not be practical to play a sound for each instance. How about one short sound during a turn any damage it taken on either side, whether ship combat or crew combat, enemy or friendly. Just an audio cue that damage happened, like a muted short "pew".

akawolfywolf - thanks for the suggestion. We opted at this time to disable all sounds in fast combat play because of the copious overlaps. Perhaps we could look at turning back on a few of them.
