Hello,
I am playing on an iPad Pro 11 2020 edition with 256gb game version is 5.06
just had a ctd at 7am et, during the transition from the northern vault to oskahold. I have had other instances shopping and leveling at the inn (don’t have time stamps) but thes are not rare. They are actually becoming more prevalent.
ive also had combat where on my turn the camera inexplicably freezes. This occurs only on my turn. This occurs if the iPad locks on battle screen frequently, but also occurs when I’m actively playing. I am unable to scroll around the battlefield or zoom. I can activate different party members, but the view is literally hexes away.
I’ve currently got almost 200 Gb free, and have done the install/ uninstall dance. I’m playing the elite edition
thanks in advance if you can restore any of my sanity

sircedric - very sorry to hear that you are having issues. The game has been stable on iOS for years without known crashes. I would recommend reaching out to Apple for a refund at this point or looking at other apps that might be causing the issue.

Hello, I am playing on an iPad Pro 11 2020 edition with 256gb game version is 5.06
What version of iOS is your iPad running?
Was iOS recently updated on it at the time that you noticed your issues starting?
As of 11/17/2020, the current version of iOS is 14.2 (Settings/General/About)
I have not recently played HS (Elite) and when I do, I use an iPad mini 4 on iOS 12.4.1 (an older iOS version even though it's capable of running the newest version). I do have an iPad mini 5 on the current iOS 14.2 but do not use it much.
Many times, iOS updates can cause issues with apps no longer running correctly...it's not necessarily an issue with the app, especially if the issue started immediately after updating iOS. If the app ran fine for a long period of time (as fallen mentions above) on earlier iOS versions, then suddenly started acting up after an iOS update, chances are good that the new version iOS is at fault. It's not definitive blame...but it's a point in a certain direction of where to start looking for answers.
First thing I would try would be a Forced Restart of the iPad. This will not delete content or alter any of your settings. It's like rebooting your PC and it can help to clear up odd/strange issues that can manifest themselves.
Follow the procedure at the very top of the page linked to below, under If your screen is black or frozen. Follow the directions for your particular model of iPad (with Home button or without Home button).
Next would be closing off (Force close) ALL running/open apps from multitasking, then play the game with it being the only app running/open to see if you have the same issues:
