On harder settings, I think Spies must always be hybrid officers. Given that, chime in with your best and worst experiences with crew combat (CC) spies!

My competence isn't up to par for the harder settings yet.
Aside from that, the only real use i see for spies is giving primary assassins extra stealth options or wing commandos the unique spy boarding option. The solo spy in my crew is just an understudy in case 1 of the away team is killed in crew combat.
