**Edited below to include save files locations for Windows 10 and macOS, no data for Android devices
This is specifically for transferring/sharing files or savegame files of StarTraders: Frontiers between iOS devices. Certain iOS app files can be enabled/flagged by the app developer to be "shared" or have the ability to be accessed & backed up by the user. This applies only to specific files set by the developer; in this case, the save files used in STF (and most other Trese Brothers games).
Basically, you need to connect the source device (the device you want to get the save files "from") to a Mac/PC running iTunes & use iTunes File Sharing to back up the save files to the Mac/PC. You then connect the destination device (the device you want to save the save files "to") and transfer those files to the destination device.
The procedure will be different depending on which version of macOS you are running:
If you're using macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC, use iTunes to share files between your computer and your iOS or iPadOS device:

If you're using macOS Catalina or after, use the Finder to share files between your computer and your iOS or iPadOS device:
support.apple.com/en-us/HT210598
The reason for the two different procedures is that macOS versions Catalina or higher no longer use iTunes...these versions have moved to using Finder instead for a lot of what iTunes was previously used for.
**Save files locations for Windows 10 and macOS
The save files from iOS can also be interchanged with Windows (10 tested) and macOS (10.13.6 tested). These are versions that I have personally tested on. I can't verify these file locations on other versions of Windows and macOS so these locations may or may not apply to other versions. You can look in the locations below to verify that the mentioned folders and example files exist on your particular version of operating system.
The save files are located in the following locations:
Windows 10: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\StarTradersFrontiers
The AppData folder is normally hidden by Windows. To view the AppData folder:
1. Open Control Panel (search for "control Panel")
2. Click on "File Explorer Options"
3. Click on the "View" tab
4. Under "Advanced Settings/Files and Folders", find "Hidden files and folders" and click on it to expand it (if needed)
5. Click on "Show hidden files and folders"
6. Click on the Apply button at the bottom of the dialog box
The save files (example: core.db, data.db, map_2.db, game_4.db) are located/go into the ROOT of the StarTradersFrontiers folder.
----
Mac:
~/Library/StarTradersFrontiers/
This is the normally hidden (by macOS) user folder. To access the hidden user folder:
1. From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.
2. In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go.
---or---
1. Go to the Finder (or desktop).
2. Hold the Option key on your keyboard, and click the Go menu at the top of the screen.
3. With the Go menu open, you'll notice that pressing and releasing Option will display or hide the Library choice in this menu.
4. Select Library from the Go menu (while holding down Option) to access the hidden folder.
The save files (example: core.db, data.db, map_2.db, game_4.db) are located/go into the ROOT of the StarTradersFrontiers folder.
**Save files locations for Android
I personally do not have access nor use any type of Android devices so I can comment no further on them, unless someone gives me info as to where the files are located or how to access them.
