Hi again
1) problem: highest ranking contacts (High Prince and High Princess. and equivalent for other factions) influence can drop to nothing situation: You make friends with a monarch and come back after a story mission and their influence has dropped to 10—and no replacement leader (high Ranks and edicts protect trade permit) Solution: perhaps could just those contacts have a minimum influence of 70, maybe 100? Or something like that.
2) I’m guessing the answer to this next request is “no”. Problem: conflict cards can be undesirable, and xeno/pirate cards can be desirable. I’m even trying to draw pox cards now. Situation: My diplomat captain is trying to maintain positive rep with everyone , my merchant is sick of getting trade permits taken away, and my xeno hunter and scientist pester me to find xeno when exploring. Solutions: a) could talents that remove a card remove a card of any color? B) a new diplo talent that would reduce rep penalty for a conflict card? (sorry xeno hunter)
3) I’m guessing the answer to this request will also be “no,” Problem: bans and wars causing large negative rep even within borders (-28? too much for for Slippery Trader to mitigate). Solution: a) allow trade of goods within faction (e.g. a Cadar item can be sold to another Cadar zone) or b) buff Slippery Trader or c) still do negative Rep but preserve rank/edict/trading permit
4) more debuffs for pox? Like make the pox patient not contribute to skill pools, unable to use talents? Just “throwing it out there”
thanks all, apologies for the long post.

Or, for 3) perhaps just a warning that you are BUYING into a ban or war so you don’t have to keep checking the factions tab every time you buy something. that might be best as it won’t change game balance.

1) Try supporting your conflicts better with Intel, Missions and winning their Conflicts. Also, be sure to keep their enemies weak.
2) You can always see a hand before you chose to run it. If you aren't willing to accept one of the cards, then don't click the run button.
Pox is not really that much of a problem for spacers, they generally survive if scarred.

Thanks for the response Yes I’m trying to draw pox cards to get pox survivor traits.
What do you think about a warning before buying at a faction zone when faction is involved in a conflict? Thanks
