HighLevel Small Craft Suggestion

I recently had a game where no world would make the Javat level 7 craft available because no world had military 10.  I suspect this would affect some factions more than others--some factions have seeded worlds, some have military/starport bonuses, etc., and I had a smaller map of 22 systems.  It's not a huge deal, obviously, but somewhat disappointing.  I don't know if my situation is unique, but it is odd to have the event occur and then not have any of a listed craft available.

There are a few ways to approach this if you wanted to--lower reqs, make sure some planet can meet the reqs in the map generator, make sure some planet can meet the reqs when the event fires and if not, alter a planet to do so, etc.  And I'm sure that there are much more pressing matters at hand.  But I'd thought I'd put out a suggestion to make sure each craft has at least one planet where it is available.

This is one of the things about procedural generated maps. We're always working on doing a better job of blending requirements and content generation, but if things aren't rare they're not rare. Not all maps will have all things, that's just a mathematically unavoidable feature. The design for Star Traders: Frontiers depends on Rumors here -- I'll take a look to see if there is one we can use to improve the availability of the Javat Level 7 Craft.

We will continue to work to improve for this and future games.

I get it and I don't disagree.  I think a rumor may make sense from a design standpoint, a contract is cancelled, lowering military requirements from the overstock, craft was stolen and available on a kind of black market for a while, something like that.  Mods may sort things like this out too.

Just to be clear, I don't think all maps should have all things.  But if the game announces, "these things are available now" and actually these things are not available, it just feels like something is off.

mario - definitely keep an eye on Rumors. Important to get some Talents to help back you up. Also, talk to Contacts who sell economic Rumors - Starport Boosted is included in the list.
