Zealots and military officers are fierce defenders of faction interests. Yet in the void you can regularly encounter these types of ship captains flying under the Indie banner.
Um... what are they doing? Mechanically it makes sense to have the variety (so I am not complaining), but I'm curious about the lore of how that works. These aren't Hunna, they're Indie. What possible faction work are they doing? How can you have an Indie Zealot?

Fierce defenders of the independent people, or their local people, or their local warlord.

As I understand it "Indi" is a Collection of independent worlds that is presented as one faction for gameplay purposes but is in fact not united. Basically each Indie Planet is a micro-faction of its own. Hunna for example are a certain type of Indie, but not all Indies are Hunna.
