Squad size for missions?

Is there a cap for a squad of 4 templars in the missions?

I completed the tutorial, moon, and stardock (first 3 missions) and the maximum number of templars it allows me to go into battle is 4.

Been a while since I played, but I think the answer is yes, you only have 4 total per mission.

You can challenge yourself and go lone wolf ... probably once you've leveled up your knights and given them a bit more gear tho Otherwise you tend to run out of ammo before you can get out.

It is limited to 4.
