Events cut off (iPad Pro 12.9" 2nd gen)

Greetings!
I'm just starting out, so may simply be ignorant of how to view the scrolling list @ bottom right that shows events during transit. At present, I get the icon, and can click on it to pull pull up a dialog with the content, but I cannot read the events as they arise and go by. I've tried quitting the mission as well as quitting & restarting the app and re-booting the iPad; always the same.

You can tap and hold on the events to see their hover.
