On map Great Pipeline: Intact, a Soldier had Overwatch during enemy turn on spaces in the laborer’s encampment. During the next Templar turn, the Soldier moved (clearing Overwatch) and either that Soldier or another Templar triggered the scripted dialogue and spawn. In response, the Soldier performed an Overwatch attack against an enemy spawning in the formerly-covered area; the spaces did not have the Overwatch overlay. After this the Soldier was observed to have the Overwatch icon and name suffix, though the overlay remained absent; I believe the icon was not present between when Overwatch should have cleared and the scripted event, but am not certain. As an experiment, I left the Soldier in place to see if he would fire on further enemies; he did not, though I have only medium-high confidence that the enemy path was through unused parts of the original template.
I consider this a low-impact bug (though I might have felt differently if the Heat had thwarted a planned buff refresh, as could have happened with a different action order), but am reporting it on general principle. I have an image including log from just after the spurious Overwatch attack, but am away from my image-uploading capabilities; I should be able to provide it later today but wanted to report before I forgot.

Thanks for the specifics on this one jondarc. We appreciate the reporting out of general principle and have logged it due to the same principle I am not sure we will fix this one, considering the age of the game and how minor it is.

Understandable. You never know, though, maybe this will be the key to solving some future Overwatch bug bad enough to fix Anyway, both because I said I would and for “look at this thing I found” satisfaction, the image: Edit: Bug imageOverwatch was centered on the ramp just North of the Hunter (Hunter in South central square of template). During next enemy turn something moved into the center ramp (East central square of template) without being attacked. That’s the news from Lake Woebegone, hoping RPG HD eventually gets brought into version-alignment with Elite (though if your strategy is to wait me out until I rebuy, it will probably eventually work ). ~J
