Ok, so I went elite yesterday ;D I imported my squad and wanted to start new campaign (one of the elite ones which I couldn`t play before). The problem is that I can start a new campaign only if I select new squad... Is that normal? If I select continue (with my old and mighty squad ;D ) I get on level selection screen in Rapid-Deployment (Unlimited Skirmishs) campaign... So, do I have to finish all levels on that campaign to advance on next campaign with my squad or I am missing something? The problem with this campaign is that I am not sure which levels i did finish (I think all allowed in free version but not sure)... I hope you understand my english... Thank you

Campaign mode characters are not allowed to embark on new campaigns.

@campaign - it is a current limitation (especially for balancing of the game) that once you have completed a campaign, you can not start a new campaign.
Does everything think that this should be allowed? Pros - flexibility, continued love of the same squad. Cons - balance, continuity of the campaign stories.
Thoughts?

It would be very difficult to allow this without keeping intact every single campaign Background(by now different)....U should be forced to make always campaigns linked, and this would remove the charm...In my opinion,i disagree the idea =)

ok, thanks guys, it is fine with me although it has its cons... I asked because I thought I was doing something wrong but if that is general idea of the game it is ok... Although I must say I do love my old squad

I understood the balance limitations too, but I thought it would be good to at least be able to repeat a campaign using the same squad again (as well as do the other skirmish thingies). It'd be good to go back to some of those levels you just scraped through by the skin of your teeth so you can try new things or different load-outs.
I guess for me the way I think about it is that your squad records details of the mission, and then afterwards the trainers create a simulation based on those parameters. After all, the campaigns are all potential text-book examples of success/defeat for future squads to learn from.

@cory- But I think it should be allowed.
There are masochists (I love using my Lone Captain to face horrifying odds for measly experience) and power-gamers (would cheat at the drop of a hat).
The flexibility for allowing any Teams to embark on any campaigns caters to BOTH groups other than the niche group that adheres to how the game was meant to play.
Yes, the game is tough but there are tougher SOBs here who can handle what you throw at us... and MORE. Also, we must not forget the crybabies. These Lost Generation kiddos make up the bulk of the current gaming community and, thus, your paycheck. ;D

Yeah there are pros and cons to all game design decisions.
We have added some multi-level long background campaigns that can be played by any squad.
We have heard a lot of feedback on both sides of the issue and decided to use a hybrid of all the suggestions to provide both options for everyone.
