Doing my second playthrough, easy mode (I'm not good, just having fun). My current team is The four alternate heroes (KVFS)
I've been running Kincaid with 2 1ap light blades and loving the mechanics and damage, but I had a thought. Would I be better served putting a 2ap light blade in his main hand and a 1ap throwing knives in the other?
My thought process is with the dual 1ap you get 3 hits and a single blade hit (I call it 3 and a half). If I went with a bigger – still dex based – 2ap light blade in my main hand and 1ap throwing knives in the other, I would get the same number of attacks, but increase my versatility a bit (and total potential damage I think).
Example: Just killed Vurnak and am going to go see the druid before CoD
I'm currently using: 1ap Edged Leaf Blade that does 21-39 damage; +1mp, +12 Ice dmg, +6 dodge, +4% SP And: 1ap Keen Sai Sword that does 21-34 damage; +16 lightning damage, +4% SP
If my math is right, on a 7 AP turn, I should average about 202 damage (not including the ice/lightning)
I also have: Dueling Sabre that does 33-76 damage (haven't used bloodstones on it yet) And: Segmented knives that do 23-44 damage (haven't used bloodstones yet)
If my math is right, on a 7ap turn, I should average about 197 damage, and that is before any enchantments. And the added versatility of the short range.
Am I missing something? Or does this seem like the way to go? Is there another advantage to dual wielding 1ap blades that I'm not seeing?
