Current score stopped advancing

After clearing the "Ruins of Ember" in Episode 4, my current score stopped advancing.

So continued to clear Western District, Necromantic Sanctuary, Waning Moon Pass, Reis Lodge battle where Vlotgar appeared, Bremlin Peaks and Hunting Trail, but the score stays the same!! 
Character's XP is ok and advances as normal though.
Not sure if the last event in Ruins of Ember was significant, but that was seeing Nikolai out of the city of the Dead.

I'm playing on Steam and on Easy level.

There is a maximum score in the game, unfortunately its a limitation of the different gaming platforms. A lesson learned we will not repeat that mistake in the future.
