What kind of new "AI types"? Just curious. Or do we have to play and find out on our own?  If we take an update will the new changes get applied to saved games in progress? So like will I possibly see the new AI types and new ship designs in the current game I've been playing for a week? Or do I have to start a new game to see the new stuff? |

Your saved games are played using the current installed version of the game. If you upgrade, all your saved games are upgraded as well.
The new AI, there are two of them -- Smugglers and Pirates. They're slightly less aggressive, prefer Guns at medium range and don't like to use Ram.
There are several hundred unique AI types now, these are just rounding out the field with some standard player techniques.

That's interesting to know that you actually have the AI programmed to where some of them prefer guns or don't prefer Ram, etc. That's pretty cool. |

The new starter ship is close to useless. It only beats the Aeternam Vale in armour and engine, but not by much. But, besides that, sweet! Thanks for the update, Cory.
