I'm at my wits' end.
Four straight days of following every known guide on how to transfer a savegame folder from an old Samsung tablet to a new Samsung S22 Ultra (android 14).
Helium is incompatible with this phone. Every version of Helium is. Even custom patched Lucky Patcher wackadoodle versions. All the Adb usb debugging ATM PTP FML shenanigans and PC connection stuff works just fine until Android 14 shows up. Helium won't back up apps or detect restore files on the S22. Mostly just crashes in various different ways.
Samsung Smart Switch and Google One just back up app APKs and not the app data as well (at least not for STF).
This phone is not rooted and never will be. Cannot justify rooting a new phone just to access the savegame folder of a single app. Speaking of, why are the saves encrypted and buried deeper than state secrets and nuclear codes? I'm becoming worried some Ark of the Covenant assassin will pop out of my data/data folder if I ever dig too deep. It's just a saved game, man. This is like applying for a passport for the privilege of buying a single gumball.
So: Barring a root or using Helium, is there any other known way to transfer the saves from an old Samsung tablet to a new Samsung phone?
Thank you

Unfortunately it seems almost all the old ways, including Helium, of doing a transfer no longer work because of changes to the Android OS made by google and the phone makers. Rooting is pretty much the only way if you want that level of control over the OS and files. If the TB's know of any that might work they should pop in here in a day or two. fallen checks here a few times a week.

@neurotic goose - sorry, outside of rooting and the now defunct helium, there are no known avenues for Android.
