@cory
That's a lot. Hmmmm... I need to compute now if I should switch to a MG from my Raptor and if my firearms skill of 13 is enough to warrant the change.

nemesis - my best gunslingers carry both a heavy pistol (because they are versatile and great against crowds of lower HP enemies) and a HMG slung over the shoulder (for when you really need to put down a drone, corp soldier with 8 HP or have to save a endangered Runner). Having both options is killer.

nemesis -- ah thats a tough trade. If you are used to using the Stunna to keep your heat down, then switching to a second gun will be a rude awakening. My gunslingers just sign on to be murderers and never stun their way out of a fight. Means I have horrible heat from time to time across large patches of the NBZ, but it means I can kill my way out of most fights if I need to. Not so lucky for my Runners sometimes =)

All right, i haven't been posting for some time, but could i make a small request? I believe that noobs will have an easier time understanding what "ap" is all about when they look for better guns. I stuck with my heavy pistol becoz when i looked at the stats of some smg's and mg's, i thought, " WTH! I can't believe i would pay 5 ap for three damage! That's ridiculous!" . I don't know if it is just me with this problem or if other people hv the same problem too....

using mgs cost 5AP but 4 shots for 3-5 damage each are worth it anyway you have 4 ways to fight 1) one shot with rifle for many ap - mostly instant kill 2) one burst from msg for many ap - mostly instant kill but ammo sucking vacuum 3) stun/melee combat - not much difference besides stun cost more ap but gives you lover rep and heat drop 4) pistols works good on LV/Street/Fenians/BO or on dogs of all kind because they have low health and are easily to hit anyway from my experiences: fighting in melee combat is much much much easier to fight against corps, especialy at first stage of game than sniper or gunslinger. playing this game style dont even need runners to beat corps, even if you play face or agent ex

james123 - maybe if we changed how we described MGs fire rate? Maybe "Speed" should get higher booking in the list of stats, and also might say something like "Burst Fire: 3" so that it is more clear what it is for. Thoughts?

Good idea, but melee weapons should have something like 'combo hits'

james123 - right, they also say speed. It would be good to differentiate them.

great idea for replacing 'speed' with something more informative. I initially thought that speed meant something like 'initiative' -- how fast on the draw you were, so to speak.

OK... i will go with Burst Fire (for ranged) and Combo Hits (for melee). Is this descriptive enough?

What will sniper rifles say? Because it's not really burst fire for them. 'Shots per attack', perhaps? For melée, I would rather have 'blows per attack' as well.
