this update seems to reduce the size of the images used for the planets in game. Additionally, the smaller images appear slightly off center from where they should be (as if the size was reduced to about 2/3 and then top right aligned in the available area). Is this a bug?
LG GT450, android 2.1 (i think)

Wow. This update has seriously messed up the graphics on my Hero 2.1. All weird interlaced superzoom style. Uninstalled to retry and lost all my saves too. Doh.

LG GT450, android 2.1 (i think) I haven't been able to reproduce or heard any other reports. Did you try a reboot of the device to clear out the Google Play?

tried a reboot, still the same. Here's a screenshot: Game is still perfectly playable apart from this.

Looks normal -- none of the graphics changed in this update, only the addition of one new ship graphic. You feel like it was displaying the star map differently before? The drawing code is intentionally off-center and has been like that for over a year (wow!)

The drawing code is intentionally off-center and has been like that for over a year (wow!) OK, fair enough. Before this update my phone had been showing the planets slightly larger and centered in their sectors (like the stars are here). I've pretty much got used to this display by now anyway.

I have determined the cause of this issue, it is related to how the game behaves when it runs out of memory trying to load the main map. I should be able to fix it now that I have been able to reproduce it.
