I would like see Rumors revolved around the interactions between factions. x decided launch attack on y ships. battle be going on x y. this rumor increases chance military ships of both kinds. and they more aggressive against non-ally captains (you). also, will st2/or1 include loss and gain space for factions and Ur interactions of destroying military ships could win war, or gain territory? this make every game changed based on decisions you make. hmm maybe i shouldn't sold those weapons to steel song. now they about to take prime. Just player needs more impact on factions and clan. so far, they have infinite number ships/credits/crew replace them. make it that planet/faction have population number that decreases/increase over time. create 3rd ingredient.

some of that is in place but it would be fun to expand upon it to build a more interconnected network of rumors and conflicts.
later games (like CK and ST2) will feature a second generation politics and economics engine which will definitely build on some of the existing ST interconnection between rumors, conflicts and resources.

Am definitely keen to be on the ole testing list for this - the holy grail of grails that have no holes! It's funny that Grail came from the latin gradalis or "dish". Try drinking wine from a plate! ... ah but I digress.
